Does the Chemical Weapons Convention not exist in your reality? Guess the answer to that is 'No'.
You keep citing this agreement like it erases what Obama said. Again here's what he said in 2012.

He said it would be "a red line for 'us'", he also says "we have been clear" now you can debate all you want about who "us" and "we" are, but just because some treaty exists doesn't mean he didn't say what he said.
Now, predictably come back and insist he was talking about "the world" when he phrased "we" and "us". To which we will all happily close by pointing out how ridiculous that is because he's not president of the world, he's president of the USA.

Never is a thing as a liberal bias when it comes to anything.
Nope, the only bias out there is "Fox News" and "WSJ"
Huffington Post and MSN are both very moderate, like Obama is the center of the political spectrum.

You realize TIME does this frequently not because of spooky media bias to protect His Excellency Lord Obama XII (may Allah bless his soul) but in response to the reality that most Americans don't care about global issues? We love our bubble and we like to remain in it.
Ain't nobody got time for the world around us. We're the world. We're God. We've got the biggest global penis and everybody better know it. Apparently until Putin claims a small victory in protecting his vassal state. Then 'Murica can't help but feel insecure. Like men who freak out that anything might be construed as being gay. Better bomb someone so the world knows we're #1 USA USA USA USA USA. We should beat up some South American country or something.

You can look through Time's covers here.
Time's covers are fairly weird and disturbing in what it highlights for various regions. It is interesting to see where the divergences occur.

Fox News' bias wouldn't be such a prominent talking point for moderates and liberals if they had a better track record with the Truth. It's not a matter of spin or perspective, Fox has been proven over and over to flat out lie in order to stir the pot. Other networks, even heavily conservative ones, as a rule, do some fact checking.

It's one thing to blindly follow, a lot of liberals are guilty of that. It's another to oppose baseless claims. The guy is far from perfect, but there are way too many outspoken people who plainly don't like him and will find fault in everything he does or doesn't do, even to the point of condemning him for things he may have never even considered doing.

I'm not sure what to make of the statements, I haven't had a chance to see his statement in Russian, a lot is lost in translation. But, it does sound like they have already resigned the action as a failure before it even gets off the ground. Almost like the entire counterthreat was just a token action to lay the groundwork to later say "we told you so".
Thankfully, Putin doesn't use nuance or hyperbole, he's not a hard person to read. Which is ironic for a former spy.

Don't invent my arguments for me. You seem to have trouble enough with your own.
The red line speech reiterated America's stance on chemical weapons, but it did not create it. I don't believe that the US's potential military involvement would have been avoided without Obama's speech because of our track record as Team America: World Police. Yes, this is opinion because it's based on a hypothetical situation. But then again I'm capable of reading things like multinational weapons agreements from the 90s so what do I know.

Strange, I just read a report that stated that, out of all of the stories published over the past 2 years, Fox received the highest ranking in reporting reality.
I'll give you that link when I find it again.
Quote: The guy is far from perfect, but there are way too many outspoken people who plainly don't like him and will find fault in everything he does or doesn't do, even to the point of condemning him for things he may have never even considered doing.
Name one thing that people have condemned him for that, as you put it, he may have never even considered doing.

1. if you find a report from a source not owned by Rupert Murdoch or a radical civil libertarian, I'd be supremely impressed.
2. abolishing the 2nd amendment. fruitcakes like Alex Jones have been saying it since he was elected and it's never been true.

i suppose if obama made a speech reaffirming the us's stance on universal attraction, radical right nuts would say that planes wouldn't have crashed if Obama didn't create gravity.

They put an ambiguous quote from an unnamed official saying the suspect legally purchased a firearm. Assuming that an official did say that, it's not lying. It is lazy journalism, but I didn't say anything about CNN always being right... Or about CNN at all.

You can do a quick google search to find the hundreds of blatantly false things Fox has broadcast over the years, I'd bet you don't have to type more than "fox news l".
There's plenty wrong with the highlighted section. He wasn't a suspect at that point, it wasn't breaking news, "official:" is ambiguous, and an AR-15 is a rifle. But, like I said, if that's what the official said, it doesn't make it false, it just means they are crappy journalists.

You covers prove my point; they all shield Obama in America. And Jesus dude, that rant you just went on? Where does your rage and hatred of America stem from? When self-loathing bubbles up to the surface it's an ugly thing to witness. Going on about your own personal journeys of self discovery and projecting them onto I guess what you view as Patriots; crazy man crazy.

Oh please, Time has been using different cover stories domestically far longer than Obama has been in office. It's just a matter of appealing to an audience. Do you really believe that an interest publisher publishes politically motivated magazines? They're in the business to make money, publishing magazines with covers about how we can never win a war we've invested a decade in isn't going to sell domestically.
Also, how in the name of anything rational is an interest article about the unwinable Afghani war be a slight against Obama?

Yes I believe it is in their interest to help Obama politically and they are in fact very bias.
And it is in their interest to not report on Afghanistan because it is a horrible quagmire and disaster that Obama declared is the "real war" when he ran for President.

This is part of the reason that people criticize fox. NOBODY IS A NEWS ANCHOR. They all say they're opinion people. Fox and Friends is the morning show, they talk about news, Bill O'Reilly is their flagship program and he talks about news. Also, there is literally no way you read 21 individual articles in 10 minutes.

Is the "give Obama a break button" broken yet?
I don't believe our intervention would be much different either if he hadn't said it but what the hell does it matter? He DID say it. Then he leaned to Putin and Russia for the solution. You can try and look the other way but in the end Obama said "don't do this or else", and the "or else" was "i'll get Putin to stop you". If you refuse to recognize how that creates an image of weakness for Obama and/or how that image negatively affects the rest of us as a country, then I cannot help you as you are willfully ignorant.
President's who make empty threats are bad.

As a liberal to prove Fox news lies and they pull out..... Jon Stewart?
"The Daily Show", is self described as "a facts I don't like program". It presents political satire within current events. This means that points are presented so that humor takes precedence over accuracy. The frequently leave out compelling facts that clear up most situations simply because without them, jokes are funnier. Taken at face value this means Jon Stewart lies to his audience to promote his show and its humor.
It's really a shame that so many, give the show more credit than it's own producers do.

It's really a shame that so many, give the show more credit than it's own producers do. But that way, liberals can shout off that Fox lies and that Fox News isn't news, because they get their information from a comedy show on Fox Network.
That is like getting your current information from "How I met your Mother" or "Breaking Bad" and say that they are news sources....
1, Do you think it will happen?
- I do.
2, What do you think we will target?
- This depends on what we can target I suppose, possibilities include, but are not limited to (and do feel free to add other possible targets.):
2a, Infrastructure. (I think this unlikely.)
- 2a/1 Military infrastructure. Airfields, repair depots, radar installations, supply routs, docks, and harbors.
2b, Degrading Assad's war machine by destroying war equptment. (But they have been dispersing heavy war gear for a week or more.)
2c, Decapitation. Targeting essential personnel. (Our intelligence system isn't good at finding and tracking individuals but Mossad is.)
2d, Decimation. Targeting military personnel.
3, What are the odds that Hamas and Al Qaeda backed rebel groups will "accidentally" be hit by "friendly fire"? (And due to our links with the more moderate rebel groups we should have good intel on these.)
4, Will it make a difference? Long term, short term, to the conduct of the war, to the world wide TV audience? (I know it will make a difference to the bottom lines of many companies.)
Thoughts? And please no derailing to "Obamacare", "Obamaphones", or comparing the size of John McCain's and Ron Paul's testicles. (Well, unless you have personally examined both, then please start a new thread on it.)
