Submitting Early Access Code?

I didn't get an email telling me to register my code either. Also I have yet to get the confirmation email with my ps3 download code after I registered. Which idc about because I wrote down the code lol. but still!

If you're talking about the email they send you after you put in your access code then it might take a while. I was wondering when mine would come in but due to the back up it was sent few hours later. So no worries if SE hasn't sent your registration code yet after that whole pre-order mess, it should be in anytime today.

I apologize if this has been addressed specifically, but was just wanting some clarification on an issue regarding early access code submission.

I notice that many people have been able to submit their codes with little to no issue after the bandwidth increase, but since my initial try I have had the exact same message every time: "Error 3: There was a problem. Please try again later." All I'm wondering is if this is the same issue everyone has been running into prior to the site accepting the respective codes, or if it's a different error message (and what it might mean if the error is different).

If this is the same error everyone has received, I'm guessing the general consensus is to keep trying to submit? I know there's no rush just yet...guess I'm just a tad paranoid at the moment.

Yeah, pretty much what Phenomena said. Since the launch of the pre-order website I've been getting the same errors and "Try again later" results. It was the same earlier this morning when I was trying to get through until this afternoon it finally went through. I was a bit scared too and you'll know when it goes through, the website will direct you to a new page with your client code and more directions about the download stuff.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like the trick is to try repeatedly, post on forums as though your problem is unique, then try again for immediate success. Code is now registered.

Yes, just keep retrying. It will work eventually.

After I put in the code the website gave me a code for ps store. Then I was sent an email 5 minutes later.

just got mine to work now too! all set for the game woohoo!

My fiance and I were able to get both of our NA PC pre-order codes registered. Getting excited for early access!



Edit: It took both of us about 40-60 tries with the 18 digit code before we got the 20 digit PC code. (PS3 is 12 digit)

Well got my promotional code to go through, and have my 20 digit registration code now but any word when the registration for ffxiv will be available to use them all that comes up is an ongoing maintainance message from the launcher

You'll be able to fully register your game code on the 27th when the game launches. I assume you'll be able to update the client on the 24th if you have pre-order early access.

Once you input your pre-order code, they give you the early access code and on that page there is a link to register that code to your account early (or you can do it on your first login they said too) if you followed the link and input the early access code into the webpage then they gave you the option to download the client after. It also states that beta4, early access and launch all use the same launcher.

OK, i did all this but when I go into my SE account, it says I don't have any thing registered. Also I start the launcher but it just says its in maintenance and doesn't start to download the game.

I'm pretty much in the same boat you're in Kimble, I want to download the game but maintenance is in the way. I'm glad they got the early access code stuff figured out but if they're going to direct people to the download then that should be up too. During the beta I was only able to download close to half the game with my slow connection and it'd be nice to finish well before it goes live.

I dont think that will be possible. I tried finding ways to patch beta4 before it went live with no success at all. I assume everyone is going to have to repatch the game anyway because of the 3102 error. When I downloaded the launcher before beta4 it just kept showing maint mode for me too.

Its in maintenance because SE doesnt want you to be able to fully download the game before its released for early access. If they allowed us to dl it all now, ppl would be datamining and trying to find ways to use hacks and SE doesnt want that.

You'll be able to download the full game at 5am EST Aug 24th.

I was eventually able to get past the maintenance screen, and was able to update successfully.

I finally registered my preorder code on the first try this morning. I was getting very worried because I had been trying off and on for days. For those still having trouble, all I can say is keep trying.

Practically speaking, does it matter which platform you choose when entering a code? The code was for my PS3 copy, but I had 1.0 as well and plan on playing the PC/PS3 interchangeably. Will the code restrict early access to one platform or anything like that?

Ya I signed up for a notification email too and never received it. I just kept checking the site every day until it went live.

I figured out what the issue with mine was. Apparently even though I had selected NA region somewhere on my SE account had me labeled as EU region I had to manually set it back to NA and everything worked fine after that. Currently updating the launcher, looking forward to new adventures in XIV. Hoping to get on diabolos with my friends from xi

I pre-order at gamestop for Ps3 since July 2nd >.<
I already registered anyway no lucky ....
