To be honest I had a feeling they were taking a turn for the worse, just from a few songs I heard by them. Usually bands that I like are consistently awesome, but MGMT had quite a few songs that were bad. I've found that bands that have bad songs generally end up having bad albums later on. Although that wasn't the case with my favorite band of all time, so I am always hopeful like that.
