Not that it matters but I haven't done an AF burn in a very long time.
Anyone who shuns another because they af burn is ignorant. There are many excellent players who use AF burns to merit because its quick and easy.
Just because someone participates in an AF burn does not mean they are gimp, don't know their job etc.
Take my summoner job. I leveled it to 30 and burned it the rest of the way. Did I set it aside and consider it done and me a smn 75? No! The whole time I was skilling up solo learning my job. I went out to get good smn gear like the yinyang robe, Karura Hachigane and evokers ring.
I solo'd imps to cap my skill and really enjoy soloing NM's to practice being a SMN.
Yes I AF burned my SMN merits so now I'm just about capped on my SMN merits. I know how to play smn because I enjoyed it and took the time to learn it. Do I know it all? Hell no.
Now take someone who buys an account. Do you think they care to learn the jobs they bought? Probably not, but they may.
As for my BLM skills, I got BLM to 75 soloing and doing mana burn pt's. Elemental is capped and enfeebling/dark are almost capped.

Celene(F) and Rowland(M) are more of the shyer members, but often say things that are witty, have a good pun and sometimes cause three page discussions. Celene hates when people hit on her. It doesn't stop them from trying.
Krizz is just social and likes to kill time here during work Tbest is about the same, except tends to be a douche to guys and affectionate toward girls.
