Well syre, the auto scans suck, but while you have an AV program running, everything on your computer gets scanned as it gets processed.
I dunno, maybe core functions dont. But definitely all game data leaving and entering. This is why you should always disable AV & Spyware programs when installing something.

I included everything automatic in that statement. All core functions included. Hell, close it completely unless running a scan or updating the definitions.
