And you are in really good skillup range for them depending on day moonphase direction etc. I meant bloody sword; that was to rank up. None of my friends were high enough to make it for any cheaper. I will admit though, this was not my wisest synth choice in the world lol Yeah some rank up items are kinda lame.
Also 0/23 Well, I got hysterically lucky to balance out my bad luck last night synthing. 89.9 now.
I tried farming those bird feathers the other day in Valley of Sorrows and had ***luck :( Hysterically lucky? What like on average +.1 a synth?
I personally wouldn't farm the feathers there. Sure the drop rate is like 50% but god they they take forever to solo. In that time I could've solo'd so many of the birds in Misareaux cost. And even though wiki puts there droprate at about 16% which is about what I got when I last farmed them they are pretty much harmless to a 75. Die rediculously easy (I think I could kill them with just a SADE lol). No aggro there yays. There are like 10 in a pretty small area with 5 min respawn. Also think one of the new nms is up there that drops the new bst neck. Also probably cause of that there seems to be a bit more on the market and they don't cost that much. Only bad part is recipe takes so many Hysterically lucky: in 30 more synths, I ended up averaging like 50% skill rate.
Meh I wouldn't call it that good. As long as I take the time and pay attention to lvl difference direction day etc... or just use the nice tool from a site I have the worst I get is on average 1 lvl per 2 stacks of synths. I know I know 24 but I tend to think and remember it in stacks lol. Well that was at 90+ before that I'd be unhappy if I didn't average a lvl per stack and a half.
Granted when I first did goldsmithing I didn't really know about all that and my skillup rate was kinda meh in comparison After level 60 you can never expect a 50% skill up rate. I always do day, direction, etc etc. I'd say you're just a really lucky crafter.
Back when I just eyeballed with day and stuff etc it wasn't as good but since I started using http://ffxi.lokyst.net/timer/crafttimer.html staying as close to 1.25-2.75 as possible my skillups have been great. Well I will go higher if I abosolutely have to (up to like 4-5 I think) or I'm break synthing on artisans advantage (up to whatever I can still get skillups on breaks which is just lvl dependent).

No idea when your bf is but this site says you are 58... so I would expect that to take 3 weeks to a full month assuming you do full 200 fish a day. And stick with good skill up fish. If you got the ring then like double skill up rate pretty much while your using it. That is one sexy sounding monitor. Also, the Steam Install only took my laptop like 2-3 hours to download 8GB. It was amazing. Also, 2/22 is my birthday (/92 22:22 >_>). I usually fish around 100 fish a day in Talacca. Not sure what I'll do to get 100, as at 86 I lose skilling off mercanbaligis, 90 no more ahtapot skills; I don't catch Dils that often, but they're 96. I usually get .5~/day easily, some days I get a lot more, some days only .2. Such is fishing. I'll go after Ebisu when I'm 100 and finish my cooking GP lol Edit: just hit 60.0 fishing :) Your a bit far off to skill up as well on those fish. If I fished up 200 fish I always got 1.5-2 lvls but that was provided I didn't pull up non skill fish or wasn't too far away or items. Also the skillup ring litterally doubles that. I don't care what anyone says too far away from cap has always affected my skill up rate though I can still get same all the way to the cap.
I prefer Nashmau. Well once you get more like mid 60s. The bite rate on merc/ahtapots is amazing. Like 25-35% each. If I'm catching both I generally get 55-65% bite rate there. So even when you cap on merc still good for just ahtapots. Then can catch pytergorus or however you spell it to 99. The favorite part for me is when my inventory fills up I can just npc some of them right there and then and be back to fishing. Plus relatively easy and fast to get to and no mobs. If you had ebisus Ryuga titans be a good money way to get the last stretch though if you don't mind the occasional break lu shangs works too. I actually hit 100 fishing for ebisus lol. Yeah, Im hunting Ahtapot and Mercans atm in Talacca lol. Maybe I'll try it in just Nashmau.
Also, I have now gotten rank 21 in about 3 fish rankings lol. Keep trying for that ring :) Yeah in the 3 ranks that I could've done between 30-100 I only won 1. The one that really made me /rage was when I fished up like 300 squid turned in the best one watch squid prices plummet on the ah and still got like 25th...
But lol I bought 9ish Sea zombies once turned in the best one and got like 14ish. Funny thing was there was only like 16-17 entries cause they are a pain to catch. Then the last time I was around 80ish I think so I didn't even bother since I knew I would be almost 100 if not 100 by the time the event even tell me I lost again. Man I don't know why I love crab battle so much lol. Edit: Also if you don't have it get the fishing apron. It definitely helps. Especially when town fishing. If I do fishing GP, would that kill off my cooking GP, or is that also entire separate?

I didnt do any fishing GP all this time cause I thought it'd interfere with cooking. Yeah I think it interferes between the main crafts kinda like skilling up past 60 but fishing is different in that regard
Wow, just tallied up for the day so far. 48 fish, 1.1 skills :)
Lol now if you can only keep that up... but for some reason for me even when I had good streaks like that it would always average out by the end of the day so I don't think I ever beat 2.5 without the ring. Up side even when I had a good 40+ fish with 0 skillups it would also still average out

Does Windower work with the Steam download version? I'm going to just abort the process if it doesn't. I'm pretty sure it works just fine, it loaded it up right as rain for me.
