Do you know that the Japanese media made up so many horrible lies about the American Military that they had their citizens so scared of us that thousands of them jumped off cliffs because they didn't want us to torture them? Why would they have to watch our tv to pick up on it? What about all the japanese americans who grew up being called jap while being spit upon and thrown into concentration camps? Or the same to all the ones we saw and met? That's like saying black people made *** derogatory lol. Again what gives you the right to use racial slurs considered against another people?

Do you think the black people all gathered around and started thinking damn cracker everytime someone says that word they must be referring to our race in a derogatory manner? No we used it on them in such a manner. Even if they didn't understand english they could clearly see the body language displayed when it was used and understand how it was being used against them.
Racial slurs are made by people to put down a whole nother group of people. Not by a group just thinking hmmm I think I will randomly think this term is offensive duh. If no japanese had had any contact with americas or our propaganda most likely they wouldn't find it offensive.
Theres reasons why people get offended over slurs. It's general an abusive use of such words against that people.

I'm sorry but I disagree. Racism is only a problem in this world because of *** that happened years ago that people can't seem to let go of. A five year old could call someone a Jap or a ***, not knowing what it means or the history behind it, and still be considered racist. Its ***. Racism exists because people get offended over stupid ***. That is the point I'm trying to get across. The word Jap is an abbreviation for the word Japanese. It is not offensive unless someone takes it that way. Its stating a matter of fact. The only reason the word has hate connected to it is because it was said in the time period in which the Japanese and the Americans were at WAR. They bombed us, we got pissed and said "*** you ***". Then and now are two very different times. What was said then, does not necessarily hold true to what is said now. Its just like some black people think that white people owe them something because we enslaved their ancestors. Yet they're so quick to forget that they're the ones that sold their own to us in the first place. I'm saying that there would be a whole lot less hate between different types of people if people could just get over what happened way back when and understand that maybe, just maybe not everyone means to be offensive when they say something.

In most cases it's more about how/why the word is used rather than the word itself. I'm sure there was a time when calling someone a Jap was fine, it is, after all, just a short way of saying Japanese person. But because at some point it was so commonly used in a derogatory fashion (filthy japs, etc.), it's understandable that the word itself is seen as derogatory.
Take that ***for brains on these forums for instance, I obviously have no issue with being Australian and don't see it as a bad thing in any sense of the word, but when SFB uses the fact that I'm Australian as a means to argue with me and attempt to insult me, then yes, it's offensive. If the whole world started using the term "Aussie" in such a manner, then it would become just as offensive as Jap, ***, Chink, Coon, Septic, etc. etc.

Saying something offensive to someone and then telling them its there fault for getting offended is laughable at best. And worse can land you in a heap of trouble of one kind or another.
Racial harrassment always has been and always will be a touchy subject. Just like sexual will always be.

All I'm gunna say is, I've personally been in situations where people will go out of their way to make you into a racist person, even when you have the best intentions. I see racism being used in a different way far more than the way it is portrayed to everyone. Racism is only a problem if you take offense to something that is "offensive" whether it was meant to be or not. Even if you say something not meaning to be racist, or not knowing its offensive, you're still the bad guy. Its not a one way street.

Yes and the situation your talking about is actually you being the racism victim. 9/10 in society today the reaction you see is a learned reaction by said person. And I will be straight forward in saying this. The African population in the south are 10 times more racist than the white population. And they always try to play the reverse role to their advantage calling any and practically everything racist. Basically what I'm saying. Unless your committing mass genocide or imprisonment of a race....it is not racist.

Alyria is the most social female, gets groped a lot without provoking it by others, and Tairo ends up stabbing people for it. Cai is just a barrel of lols, I might be gay for him. If I wasn't straight.
Not sure about Citag, s/he's new. Kiriyu is just an in-out kinda person. Says one thing every three days that every guy makes a big fuss over. Ludoggy gets really defensive since she's asian and underage (might be 18 now).
Artem is the wayward soul that makes you ponder the meaning of life by constantly reminding us life can suck. But he deals, and so do we. About the same for Savannah, except people are more "AWH!" to her because of a vagina involved.
Dasva is the ex military man (as is Krizz but this doesn't apply to him) who hates the world and plots a way to destroy most of it.
Number2 is kinda like a mix between Cai and I; never bashes, likes to laugh and has odd avatars. His current suits a lot of the convos this LS gets into. Barti is most well known for his moustache. He gives mousatche rides for a fee. I'm missing a few people but whatever. CARRY ON!
