Therein lies your problem. Find some actual friends that are willing to help. EG people usually only care about what can make them better, or getting something out of it.

You camp Trotter Boots? They want to lot against you.
Serket? They expect that Ring.

"If I'm not getting something out of it, I'm not going to help."

Outside of mister douche, Rummy, and Fyy-ster, I kinda don't have many friends on Bahamut...

Congrats, Ryd. You've got two more friends than I do XD

But still, that's already 3 people. Depending on your setup only a couple more and viola! Of course, this is assuming said friends have the time and desire to spend a few nights in Sea Serpent Grotto.

Note: Bring marshmallows and a lighter.

Never camped Charby. Had no idea.

And I thought I "knew how," but apparently I was dead wrong. I'll get things with tons of Stamina, or that fight like mad and it's always a fish (With a few crab exceptions.)

Yeah I'm pretty much 100% on telling what is a manta and what is a mob and what is that stupid fish that of everyone down there I'm the only one who can pull it up... and I still wouldn't call it easy unless there is very little competetion. Then again I got bad luck. Like in about 4 hours only got it twice cause there was alot of people down there then when it was just me and some n00b I got one every 12-15min

If you use a different bait you can't get the fish. Also depending on your fishing skill I think you get another message. At my lvl with an ebisu's it doesn't really fight that much though

The script macros?

input /equip head "Walahra Turban"

etc.

In the game you just put /console exec THF_TP.txt (Obviously saved using Notepad.)

Save it into your Scripts folder and viola!

Note: I think to add /wait you just put

/wait 1
input /equip neck "Peacock Amulet"

Edit: No idea how to work Spellcast, though. Not entirely sure I want to make the game completely automated. :p

Try playing FFXII.
Once you have 12 Gambits for everyone, only thing that you as the player actually do is walk around.

Only intense boss fights where I had to manually use an item did I ever get to actually play.

Being half asleep, my coherence is nonexistent.

When you say "Windower Macros" I assume you mean the "Infinite Macro line" thing. IE: Script Macros.

If that's the case...

Step 1: Open a new Notepad document.

Step 2: Apply the normal macro lines, but add "Input" in front of them. IE: input /equip head "Walahra Turban";

Step 3: When finished, save said document to your Windower/scripts folder. IE: THF_TP.txt

Step 4: Log into the game and recreate your macro via SE's macro system. Instead of adding the usual equipments, use your Script instead. IE: /console exec THF_TP.txt.

Doing this will automatically execute your .txt document, thereby equipping any gear you put on it, or doing whatever command you may've used.

Example:

THF_TP.txt said:
input /equip head "Walahra Turban";
input /equip hands "Dusk Gloves";
input /equip ear1 "Coral Earring";
input /equip ear2 "Coral Earring";
input /equip body "Rapparee Harness";
input /equip neck "Peacock Amulet";
input /equip ring1 "Sniper's Ring";
input /equip ring2 "Sniper's Ring";
input /equip back "Amemet Mantle +1";
input /equip waist "Swift belt";
input /equip feet "Dance Shoes";

Is that any clearer?

So basically each Macro in SE's system will only have 1 line, and that is to load a .txt from your computer?

Yes.

To my knowledge, this is the most basic form, but you can also add /wait commands and whatnot, too. More or less, you can hit 1 button instead of 3.

Spellcast on the other hand basically does all the thinking for you.

BLM for example:

Spellcast will identify the spell and equip the appropriate staff and gear. Even to the extent that you can control which sets are used on which mobs (IE: Skill vs MAB). It can also be programmed to auto-equip obis, Uggy, Sorc Ring, etc when you fulfill the requirement.

It's bloody amazing, but basically automates everything. It also makes a lot of BLMs think they're badasses when they're not :p

From my experience, it's much more efficient. For example, if you hit two macros too quickly, only half of the previous macro will go off. For example, when I go to cast buffs on BLM, my headpiece never equips. Using this, I hit my macros without worrying about missing certain pieces.

However, this is only based on my experience. Faster or more hardcore people may have a different experience.
