I tell ya.... the urge to attempt to jump over the fire from one of those swings is all over me like a fever and I don't even know where they are....
I'm like... two beers and your home address away from attempting the leap in an evel knievel outfit... and in the first picture the fire pit is too close to the bench.

That's really nice, but you're also talking around a $3-4k project? I know a firepit like that one runs ~$400-600, and that's just the center fireplace. Not to mention that if you want it sunken like that, you're either bringing in machinery or doing a lot of hand digging... Finished project isn't going to happen until next summer, but I'm laying the groundwork for something like this right now:

because the pool is close by the fire pit in hev's picture it reminds of Uncle NamVet's cabin near killbuck ohio (pop 836) he had a spring fed pond and a detached wood sauna we used to get drunk and get hot in the sauna then jump in the pond....for an entire weekend....good times. one time pops fell and broke his ribs on the diving board while steaming drunk...woke up with half his rib cage deep purple
unfortunately auntie namvet died and then he went even coo coo~ier than even sonny would be ok with

I haven't counted as normal people for longer than I can remember. My uncle swam in bear lake bear lake the park ranger was all "you can't swim in there" and he was all "c'mon in and get me!" I only stuck my feet in the water is just barely this side of freezing...
