yup. it's pretty sweet to be able to avoid lineups and traffic jams near 365 days of the year

Cities are perfectokay for just visiting

I like actually doing things in Pittsburgh once I get there, but getting in and out of/navigating the city is hell.

I'd argue that there is a pretty big difference between a lot of cities.

You've forgotten where I was from already after you insulted our pizza and insinuated that we have gutter pallets!?

Spend more time in them then, and you'll see. With the exception of the "world" cities (NYC/LA), most American cities are pretty similar down in the bones. Boston was unique, but that's more a function of its little brother syndrome with NYC.

And no, I honestly don't keep track of the locales of everyone I meet who has a ridiculous opinion about food. Brain's only so big. But okay, Chicago. Why would I take advice on domicile arrangement from someone who chooses to live there?
I've lived in 5 diffent states for any extended amount of time and I've visited in about 40 of the 50 states for much shorter amounts of time. I still stick by my opinion that there is a noticeable difference between them.

lol... I have a ridiculous opinion about food because I think deep dish pizza is pizza and I've never had key lime pie?

Well according to you unless it's boston/nyc/la there's really no difference in where you live so why wouldn't you take advice from me? Even though I didn't give you advice but rather continued on with our longstanding assault against those without basements.

Nobody did any such thing, because it would have to be pizza first.

What we did was appropriately name your bread-and-buckets-of-toppings a "casserole".
like I said... if you're calling it a casserole you just don't know what a casserole is.

You're requirements for calling it such so far have been its height lol...

I think the "outer rim" cities all have unique traits flav is referring to (chicago, seattle, portland, san fran, la, etc. etc etc and the central cities have a lot of similarities rooksiepoo is talking about. like kansas city and columbus

which are not different enough to be worth arguing about...

Tennessee
Well this is your first problem...

It's got its downsides, but it's home for now. The cities aren't any different than other cities, and the only thing Nashville really needs is a subway system.

Where do you live that's so much better? Because I've lived just about everywhere, and it all sucks. At least TN is pretty.

some examples of the similarities include the basic road layouts.

you can draw the symbol for the zodiac killer and that's basically the highway map for many of them...

Truer words rarely spoken.

In Nashville's defense, I say before we move away, it does a couple of things very, very right:

- Public parks are great, seriously. There's plenty of them, and they're very well maintained and safe. The metro park dept does a fantastic job.
- Being a semi-tourist city, there's a lot to do even if you aren't hog wild for country music.
- If you like live music, country or otherwise, this is place to be, and none other. It's basically impossible to avoid. There's usually a live band or two playing in the middle of the mall. On a stage. At like, 4 in the afternoon on a Tuesday.
- TN in general is very tax friendly. A sales tax and nothing else. No income tax, no property tax.

All that said, we're leaving because we've been here long enough and it's time to go.

My main argument for a subway here (or at least a better train system) is that drinking and driving is a pandemic here. And Nashville is walkable but it's pretty big; it's not walkable the way Boston is (though that's mostly a function of its small geographic size).

Interesting fact:

Warren, Pennsylvania and Warren, Ohio unknowingly compete for the "Most Miserable Place to Live in Eastern Time Zone".

Sadly for them, Johnstown, Pennsylvania is a place. So they'll never win.

Nashville is very nice! I think the last time I was there was 2004/5?

A couple of our friends ended up in Memphis after graduation. They said that the local news was maybe eight minutes of weather, local sports, national news, human interest stories, and the rest was a play-by-play of crimes on the wrong side of the tracks.

They said there was a high school which had the biggest ratio of under-age pregnancies nationally. In the local news segment about this high school they made the mistake of interviewing a student named Clittoria, or something within that vein. ("Clit" definitely being the beginning of the name.)
