Love me some Jakobs. That whole shooting as quickly as I can pull the trigger thing is epic.

While rare, occasionally I'll come across a really good Jakobs shotgun that I like a lot. Low magazine size but their power often makes up for it if you're a high-risk/reward player like I am when I'm toting a scattergun. Which is also why Torgue shotguns are great. That face full of explosives rips things apart.

I really dislike their assault rifles though. Which is weird, because I love the hell out of my Mattock in Mass Effect. But something about them in Borderlands ends up falling short for me and my playstyle.

I really didn't pay much mind to the brands in my last run through. I was playing Zero, so I only really cared about my sniper rifle. I used a Jakobs when I took down Handsome Jack and The Warrior though, so I'm counting it as a win.

I've put...a lot of time into the game. It's my blowing-off-steam game, and my wife refers to it as my relaxing time of "cookin' fools".

But as I do play it to relax, I don't want to deal with other people, so I only play solo, so I'm not as high of level as many probably are who have spent much less time playing.

Around level 55 on Commando, Mechromancer (anarchy only!), and Siren.

Mos would probably have been all "we didn't need to know that, damp towel!" (still not sure where the hell that one came from...)

probably from the idiom "wet blanket" aka a party pooper
A wet blanket used to put out the fires of our good times.
but you're not quite as wet as a sopping wet... more of a damp and not as all covering as a blanket so more of a towel...

hence the formation of the new idiom Damp Towel not quite enough moisture to completely put out the fire... but just enough surface area to be annoying.

yo all.

Not really feeling it today, but whatevers.

Elder scrolls is still a ton of fun. My only gripe thus far would be things seem a little too easy most of the time. I'm only like level 11 though, so hopefully it'll scale up a bit.

the victory garden progresses, Niko your estimate of 4 bags of mulch was 100% spot on, so, you da man.

everything has sprouted except the carrots & potatoes, which I believe suffered a bit from a late start. root based stuff should probably go in earlier.

My dog humped my cousin's leg when he came to see the plot, it was funny.

Kara and some friends got to see some parts of what is involved at my work over the weekend.
Moral of the story: making cool stuff is a result of a lot of absurdly tedious work.

Garden: Overgrown.
Guesthouse: Waiting on bid, in process of cleaning it out.

Pizza: in the oven.

nah, I love my russian weapons, but went with a cz-75 9mm for a pistol, just because of popularity of 9mm & cheap price of there-of. plus it has a 16 rnd magazine. (It is a 'cold war commemorative' pistol though, and has a few red stars / hammer n' sickle and such, it's pretty dope.)

I'll see if I can find a pic for you.

I'm surprised you had never heard "don't be a wet blanket" growing up señor; did you ever see brave little toaster?

It's been a long, long time. And so infrequently that I remember little of it.

And my mind is generally a steel trap of movies/songs I've only seen or heard a handful of times.

Good-looking gun. I'd like to have an Enfield No2 Mk1, an older one with single action capability. That's British though. I see a lot of Nagants while looking at them and it's a very interesting revolver. The 7.62 Nagant round has a built-in gas lock which is inserted into the forcing cone when the hammer is cocked by moving the cylinder forward.
