I just have a scimitar. A really big scimitar.

Edit: And possibly soon those meat shredders...
I got a Hagun irl but never sharpen it, dull as hell.
Wouldn't even cut through mosin's attitude at this point.
I'd like to have a replica of a Kilij from XI.

Burglars are a horrible experience anyway, happened to me just two weeks ago. And now I can't sleep anymore everytime my brother is not home.

Could be like my mother. My uncle gives her one of his pistols to keep in the house for defense after there was an attempted break in at their house and while she's looking it over she shoots her chandalier down. -.-;
Honestly without at least some proper training for gun safety and usage, you're more of a danger to yourself and family than the burglar.

Yeah. She figured that one out.

Edit: I was in college at the time of the chandelier murder, but subsequently when I came home for the summer they just got an alarm system that made it a pain in the *** every time I would come home from work or my wife's (then girlfriend's) house at 2:00 a.m.

and you have to consider things they probably won't teach you in gun safety class like collateral damage.

the pump action shot gun is a super effective weapon for home defense. most people will run like their nuts are on fire when they hear you "pump it" which also ejects a shell if one is loaded (and it should not be)

I use and endorce shells filled with salt.. considering that even something small like bird shot will blow huge holes in your drywall/kill your children's friends that are too stupid to hit the deck when they hear you pump a shotgun

Really what you should do is two loads of rock salt -- one to eject as a scare tactic, the second to hit them with for the noise and shock value -- won't really hurt 'em much unless you're super close, but it will make them flinch and scare them off.

Then for rounds 3-10 (depending on your local/state statutes regarding shotgun shell capacity and required plugs) anywhere between bird and buck shot -- or pumpkin balls if you're a real *** -- to ensure that if they're not scared by the bark, they're gonna get bit.

If we're going with curvy swords from XI, I'd go with Nadrs.

Of all the blades though, I'd have to go with Burtgang.

1.) salt hurts like a mother ***
2.) we (the royal we) have kids and don't keep our guns loaded
3.) if you hear a window break downstairs at four in the morning you don't have time to discern your rounds (just keep a box of salt rounds out)
4.) If I couldn't clear the house out with the sound of a shotgun pump/three salt rounds fired....then I would switch over to the ar10 or ak47

How sure are we about this vs. an anecdotal tale?

Basic research that I see indicates otherwise.

The Box O’ Truth #33 – Rock Salt in a Shotgun

Unless you're within 3-4 yards it's going to be a scare tactic at best.

"Eat what you want" Tuesdays are my kind of Tuesdays.
I have some chicken I thawed the other day, might shred it and make tacos. Now I wish I had bought those meat shredding claws that were on sale the other week :/ I'll admit it, I just wanted them because they look badass.

Edit:
So, after a rather uninspiring google search for "gigantic meat tenderizer hammer", I'm now tempted to make one.

my older brother got shot in the back at close range.

and as described in your article, I only use it at close range like to blast someone back down the hallway/stairs.

if an intruder ever returned fire...then you are going to want to switch over to semi/full auto

Well, I admit that's a little embellished. He muzzle-swept us and pulled the trigger after. I was helping retrieve a deer, cousin was throwing a fit, yelling and firing in every which direction because no one woke him up... He should've set an alarm.

That's quite a large bore weapon then; how was he able to carry it plus ammo?

It was a rifle, a .270 or something he shouldn't have had.

Before they literally kill you.
