The progression of that story in the show has been one of the only substories worth hanging onto at this point. A lot of boring "filler" and hemming and hawing this season, except for Sansa finding her footing only to get boom roasted. That was disappointing.

Also on the theme of GoT it's not really that someone who read the books wanna be hipster about it since they're pretty damn mainstream anyway. And the show isn't inherently bad either, it's actually very good. However for someone who reads those books it's becoming hard to appreciate it cause it's started telling a different story now. Maybe it's just me but things non canon always bother me, it's why I usually don't watch movies taken from anime series or play games taken from shows or movies. You can't help but think "but this is not how it goes!"
And Bran parts in the books were excruciatingly boring lol.

I was hoping he would ask, "Anything else I can assist you with today?" because I would have told him to get my residential stuff fixed :/ Edit: To be fair, the tech that came out was helpful and knowledgeable. They were supposed to run a cable yesterday but didn't, so I'm not really sure what happened but I dread holding for an hour to find out. Maybe they ran it today instead and I have nothing to complain about lol.

I'm kind of glad that it's come down to the wire, and Martin wasn't able to produce. I think that the conclusion might be better left as a surprise for everyone.
I gave up on the books (granted, I've never liked the fantasy genera for my own reading pleasure since I was twelve or thirteen), since there were so many complaints about how distanced the series had become from the books. I think maybe it would be better to enjoy them as separate entities? If I'm miffed by something in the TV series, I just Wiki the broadstrokes about a characters literary storyline for whatever consolation I need. Meh. EDIT: Still pissed off by lady Wildling chieftess's "Hi and bye!" from last episode. I'm guessing she was just TV fodder anyway.
