My assumption is that the vent goes through the attic and exhausts outside. I suppose this would make replacement of the venting system easier, and depending on where the dryer is it could be the best route. I dunno, I'm certainly not anywhere near an expert.
Anyway, as Mosin and Mil confirmed, should definitely check on that Zah.

I cleaned mine out a little bit recently, but now that it's getting warmer out I want to really get that sucker clean.

I just pick off the lint and Windex the interior. A wet cloth usually gets out the residuals without requiring a vacuum. EDIT: Well, crap...I think I'm going to send the sweetman in the attic before it gets hot here. :/ Thinking about this too much now.
