I would be terrified to see that coming at me.

Even scarier than a Yorick glitch coming at you?

I'm so behind the times with LoL now. I want another lazy weekend. I feel like veging and playing a game.

Kind of peeked my head in the 'The Order: 1886' thread to see what the hub-bub was about.

I'm with Mos right now H1Z1 looks promising.

(Just my opinion) H1Z1 is good for a jump in and screw around with friends, but DayZ is better for squad play. I think once the rendering is fixed in DayZ so you don't get 10fps in cities along and the phantom loot bug where you see an item but can't pick it up are fixed it will be back in the top spot of hardcore survival.

I'm more concerned about their lack of ability to fix the zombies. They've even admitted that with the current engine, they don't know how to fix it.

The issues I see with them are:
Few zombies, making them a small threat.
Aggro radius is random. Some times you can walk behind them, other times you can be half a mile away and they aggro. Line of sight doesn't seem to make a difference some times either, which brings me to...
Zombies walk through walls.
The "ground zombie" as I've come to call it. The zombie who is underneath the ground, aggros you, and just constantly makes zombie noises.
Zombie hit boxes are suspect. Not so much with guns, but with melee combat there seems to be hits both on you and the zombie that do not comply with the animation, and misses that also do not comply.

But the most important question is...

During a zombie apocalypse, WHO THE HELL IS JUST STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF AN OPEN FIELD WITH JUST A FLASHLIGHT AND THEIR CLOTHES?!

Edit: The framerate issue would probably fix the suspect melee hit boxes.

I have been eyeing that one game where you hunt one monster and the monster is playable.

Someone who just had all their stuff jacked? That seems to be the most terrifying scenario in the game, so I guess that comes full-circle when you randomly spawn?

IDK. You could bare-***, bare-fist brawl it? LOL! That would be an interesting take on the zombie apocalypse. Where did all these nudists come from?

I played DayZ the other day. Within 2 minutes of logging in and finding my character had been stripped, I had to fisticuff a zombie.

I won the battle, tore my shirt into rags which I used to bandage myself, and continued. Then I found a crowbar, fought another zombie, found a backpack, a shovel, and some food.

Then I logged out. Very exciting.

Moral of the story: I am a better boxer than a zombie.

Evolve certainly looks interesting.

Though I feel the gameplay would get rather monotonous very quickly.

Ah! But the question is, can you find a backpack for your backpack, because everyone knows that a backpack within a backpack wouldn't take up inventory space.

No rocks, but you can heal a broken leg with morphine or a splint.

Also, I was wondering when you or Kara would make an appearance. Curious about your reactions to the spree, considering it was on your doorstep this time.
It's a unfortunate incident, but not symptomatic of larger problems with regards to immigration or integration.

As the NYT article describes, it isn't as if most of these people are well adjusted individuals to begin with. It's nothing more than a different form of criminality.

I'm not particularly happy with the thought that significantly more resources are going to go into the terrorism and reaction area; but at least some is earmarked to go towards preventing/intervening radicalism.

In a strange coincidence, about a week or so before this occurred, the mayor for the local region had just arranged for a local discussion regarding how to reduce radicalism/improve integration in the community.

That article was pretty good at highlighting and confirming suspicions of using Islam as "a pass" for cruel, criminal tendencies.

So, do they offer integration counseling/classes within the school systems now?
I can't speak to that, but free language/culture courses are available for some time after arriving in Denmark(apart from schools).

It would seem like offering this during adolescence would help with immigrant children. Just from a culmination of several articles it seems more about disenfranchisement of a population for the most part, my interpretation at least.

Did you and Kara read about the attack in Chapel Hill and the uproar at Duke?

I can get behind this. I mean, I did lure a 12/13 year old into a trap and execute him... so why not? Probably made him cry... I'm a terrible person.

Ahem. Yes I can see Zah doing that. I would definitely assist with these adventures. What I really want to do when this stuff gets added in the future, is run a biker gang who runs drugs up the coast. Toss in some gang wars, torture, and demand protection payments from people, and it sounds like a blast. All of that stuff is supposedly going to be added at some point. Except the coast, that's already implemented.

LOL! I'll be hoarding disinfectant! Can you do that in game, though? That's nuts!

EDIT: I've only watched a handful of videos and have been prodding Dame for a few answers. Honestly, some of the things are hysterical, but it seems like it would cater to some really sadistic people. :/

Even better, first person caber tosser. Scottish blokes running around tossing cabers at each other in deathmatch/teamplay.

Yes you can, and I know people who have done it.

It's also the same person who shot someone in the head while they were talking to us because, "I wanted his gun."
