I'm sure you've seen it/heard of it at some point. It's been in AMC's (I think it's AMC's) pre-Halloween rotation for a couple of decades now.

I had a coworker when I was in a dealer shop that had gotten a DUI and was required to attend AA classes. The foreman determined it was my job to drive him there (whatever, overtime and free coffee). I had dropped him off at the community center and ran to rent a movie and grab some takeout, then came back to wait for him. I decided to just go inside, but they had moved the AA meeting to a different room and I stumbled into the deaf support group meeting. So, I come barging into a completely silent room with my chinese food, realize I'm in the wrong place, then (like a total moron) asked them where the AA meeting was and waited a good 30 seconds with no response before slowing backing out of the room.

one of the catalysts for me loosing my restaurant picking privileges was a trip to a long john silvers where everyone including the patrons were HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE...
after much confusion the manager came out and informed me that in appreciation for him hiring so many HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE people the whole HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE school came there that night for dinner.... lucky us. As we left and drove around the building we saw all the short buses parked on the opposite side of the building... which did little to nurse my paranoid brain sores that the whole world had collapsed into some kind of HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE zombie apocalypse.... or at least that town...which I never went back to.

I had a coworker who had to use an hearing aid or he couldn't hear ***.
one day, we got assigned to add some large decals to a minivan so on the area we where working, they had some old Mexican songs playing on the radio. He was standing about 5-6 ft away, and he asks If I hear the song that was currently playing... I look at him, look back at the radio, look back at him with a confused face, tap my ear and tell him I don't hear ***. he got so *** pissed he ran back to the office and stayed there for the rest of the day... lol

on a serious note... uncle pork chop isn't doing too hot and he wants me to call his estranged son...
I'm thinking something along the lines of "if you have any interest at all in seeing your dad again while he is still alive you should probably call/come home now..." but since english is his second language I don't want it to sound like a threat that I'm going to kill him or something... Edit: and my wife says I need to nice it up...

he is a living warning and a case study in how close some of us are, to going completely off the rails and cartwheeling into the valley of darkness and then bursting into flames before drowning in a sewage treatment plant.
he was a man once.... with a wife and two kids and a house and a job. typical american dream stuff. addictions to alcohol and gambling ended all of that in a startling eye blink and now he is a bum. I haven't spoken to him in twenty years so I am hoping the very fact that I am calling him will convey the sense of urgency I need to deliver to him without me having to actually come out and say it.
