Unafraid to not be fair or balanced! and to spin where ever the hell possible

Figured you'd say he was over rated loon.

Over rated or not, man has a NFL team named after an animal character in a poem. XD

My area of expertise is Romanticism, although I specialize in the British side of things. Poe selves into a lot of themes and concepts that dwell on those emotions of unknown horror and Gothic elements. He may be overhyped, but that doesn't mean he's not an expert in his field.

It's just a "meh" kind of Monday. :/

Have you seen Mark Twain's suggested etiquette for little girls?

I think I might buy this if I ever have a daughter.

LOL! I don't think it was meant to be taken literally.

I think the "hot water" is suppose to be the verbal finger wag, no matter how much it may scald him, it will remove the behavioral "impurities".

Twain knew a lot about the quirks of the lady-folk (whether by nature or nurture), from what I've gathered. I think, though it was directed at younger girls, it has a few behaviors you end up displaying in adulthood. That cheeky ***!

Got to love a satirist!

EDIT: There's quite a few little gems in there that are worth a chuckle when really reflecting on them no matter gender.

I didn't think so either just was hoping for more "throw water at his pants so everyone thinks he wet himself" instead of hot water XD

'Candide' is great though. Skipping through the bizarre hills in valleys of life. The damn "fool's journey", like in Twain's 'The Innocence Abroad'.

Makes me think of this song...

At least it's not Ayn Rand or J.D. Salinger. Every boy could collectively bust a nut over those two in their teen years, then have an about-face moment as they transition into adults.

/coughs

You know, unless you're Rand Paul or Ted Cruz. :/
