No, it's in a part of Austin that was built post WWII. Late 1940's to early 1960's. People up you're ***, basically. We'll be looking for acreage for the next. Probably just one or two. Hopefully, we can find something that's not in an HOA.

/fingers crossed

Mostly 1940's mini-Texas Tudors and ranch homes with clap-board. When I bought mine I had to gut it, and revamp the interior and exterior with Hardy Board, new windows (they were still the aluminium ones), and we added natural stone to the exterior of the fireplace. All the houses around here were "flippers" in the mid to late 2000's.

Bring me yo money, CA douchebags! =D

It's kind of misleading. I think they only adopted the name locally because of the roof pitches.

There are some that are brick and what you would think of as the classical Tudor, but they're mostly across the lake, in Terrytown, where houses can start at $500,000 or more.

EDIT: And of course you can get the Neo-Texas-Tudor McMansions. :/

EDIT: If you want to go shoot some coyotes on a jog with ol' Perry, I'd suggest Steiner Ranch and further out toward the Hill Country.

Land is cheaper down there, and you have more pines, trees other than Live Oaks, and lush, rolling hills! Good pick on your dad's behalf!

Yep, unfortunately. Travis County is one of the highest too. WilCo is lower, but if you get into an unincorporated area it's even less since oyu don't have to pay city taxes.

Yeah...It used to be cool, but it's the "hipster" Mecca of Texas now. It's full of chodes who have sucked the sparkle out of the town. Maybe I'm just getting old, so yes! I'm "mainstream" now, and running away to suburbia!
