Blizzards > Hurricanes. I lived thru Snowmageddon here sorta. Though i just had a 2WD car, now I has 4WD SUV, now I won't be AS stuck. Ice how ever, I refuse to drive in. NUPE.
The last big damaging storm we had here knocked out power for us for a week late June/Early July. The house was hot like death, ya eff that. Mag got Zah "O"ing.... /giggles

Mag, I was browsing the Ayn Rand thread. Have you read anything from her? I cliff-noted and BSed my way through 'Catch-22'. Just wondering if you read anything else by her. From what people are saying on that thread, I'm kind of glad I just said *** it. Seems like 'Catcher in the Rye', something you can only appreciate in your youth.

I don't have a problem with her writing. I do remember enjoying the work I was reading, but I can't remember much else. Wait! so, the last few months of being overworked have paid off. this week and next week will all be half days while i train for my new position. while i'm kind of worried, cause it's a much more intense job than i thought it would be. i couldn't help but smile when i walked through this,
 and set at my desk, in my own office, with a lovely view.  is it weird i'm counting two weeks of half days and only working my night job twice a week as a vacation?

it's feeling pretty good down here too. been 40-50 at night/morning and 80ish in the afternoon. it kinda sucks for my sinuses, but i love being able to have the windows open.
