I have a RedBox question. I've never used it before. Is it $1 per day? Or do I have to return it within 24-48 hours? I saw they have the new spiderman game for 360 for rent. I can probably beat it in a day or two if I played all day.

Sooo ... I totally need to vent ...
Last week, I noticed that my 8 year old niece's hair was turning into a giant dread lock ... so I asked her when the last time she had brushed it was ... her response "I don't know how to brush my hair, Mommy always does it for me." /sigh really?!?
Then this weekend, while camping, she wanted to go play in the lake. I said sure, put some sunscreen on your chest and shoulders before you go. Her response "you want me to do it myself?" I said, yeah, it's just like soaping up in the shower, except you don't rinse it off ... "I don't know how to soap myself up, Mommy always does it for me." OMFG are you kidding me?
My 6 year old knows how to do this stuff for himself, how can she not?? I don't get it ... Am I totally over reacting or is this normal?
I know most of you don't have kids, but I am still interested in what you think.

Well, the whole point of having kids is to teach them how to be independent; or at least my understanding. If they have to rely on mommy all the time, where does it end? It's just like hearing about those kids who are breastfeeding at 4. My two year old niece still can't form a sentence and is wearing diapers, and I wonder if she's already too old for all that.

It makes me sad ... this is part of the reason we have her for 2 weeks, because she doesn't get to experience anything. Well she is getting a taste of independence, because I sure as hell am not bathing her every night. I do worry that she will grow up to be too dependent, but unless she is at our house, I have no right to say anything. I just teach her the ways of a kick *** woman when I can and hope they stick when she goes home.

Diapers isn't unusual, I know the average age is 18 months, but unless the parents can devote the time to potty training, it can go longer. I was really lucky and my daycare worked really closely with me. The little man was daytime potty trained just before he turned 2.

Not sure about Citag, s/he's new. Kiriyu is just an in-out kinda person. Says one thing every three days that every guy makes a big fuss over. Ludoggy gets really defensive since she's asian and underage (might be 18 now).
Artem is the wayward soul that makes you ponder the meaning of life by constantly reminding us life can suck. But he deals, and so do we. About the same for Savannah, except people are more "AWH!" to her because of a vagina involved.
Dasva is the ex military man (as is Krizz but this doesn't apply to him) who hates the world and plots a way to destroy most of it.
Number2 is kinda like a mix between Cai and I; never bashes, likes to laugh and has odd avatars. His current suits a lot of the convos this LS gets into. Barti is most well known for his moustache. He gives mousatche rides for a fee. I'm missing a few people but whatever. CARRY ON!
