Oh, I completely agree with you on that, Jet. By the time someone is 16 or 17, I think they are old enough to choose for themselves. I think of kid porn as more a pre-teen or under 10 age group. Coincidentally, around the age of my own nieces and nephews, which does make it an emotional reaction for me on some levels. And I think that a pedophile should be taken away from kids so he/she can't hurt any more of them, but they should also receive help for it.

actually I was saying we should help the people who aren't hurting children, to prevent them from doing so, well it was what I was getting at earlier, probably didn't express it well.
Molesters should get the punishment they deserve, jail. Minimum 20 year sentence, no parole.

As for GPA it's really only a critical concern when you're entering into an entry level job that's has high competition... but even then it's only part of the equation. It also depends on what field you're entering... It definitely doesn't hurt to have a high GPA but it doesn't kill you to have an average one... It's definitely more critical to help get into a good college or grad school than anything as I think Leila already brought up...
You're first job out of school though they usually always ask for your GPA as your resume is pretty flimsy at that time. Mine even asked for a copy of my transcripts.
