I use skittles and Arizona iced tea as a weapon to rob homes with, but dont tell anybody man!
But they ARE used to make drugs, but we already covered that.

It's not like Zimmerman knew he had sugary snacks.

Please tell me how an announcement from the president after the public got hold of the story (Via FOX,NBC,CNN,MSNBC,etc [yes, i noted "liberal" stations as well]) "sent down some agitators". The public had already made it a race based case, which it most likely was,but lets save that flaming wall of "u stewpid" for the next page when you forget what your next que is.
Well if I say people are stupid I am not trying to be mean, but accurate.
In case you missed that part of the story, the Trayvon case was not national until Holder (and one can assume, 0bama) sent agitators, so yes 0bama helped initiate it behind the scenes. It was an election year, he needed a good rallying cry. By his "If I had a son" comment he inflamed the situation, i.e. "race baiting". He tried it again with his patronizing, insulting comment a week ago hitting all the stereotypical sob stories about people locking their door, clutching their purses, etc. That was cheesier than a Hallmark original movie, and an attempt to keep the fires stoked. Keep the distractions and animosity going as long as possible, right?

Besides, i think a person walking in the rain with a hood up is suspicious, but only after i realize he's black and needs to be followed even though advised not to apparently for my own safety.
He called 911 before seeing that he was black, but keep going with your series of events. I mean, if not for the creative interpretation and ignoring of reality by about 47% of the population we wouldn't even still be talking about it, right?

Well let me also add that the liberal will often return to the tactic of ridicule when the weakness of their arguments are exposed. They will hide behind the word science, but never provide scientific data. They will accuse of you of not believing in science, believing the world is flat, but completely ignore all science themselves. A liberal is qualified as a scientist if they watched Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman and can repeat random things they heard.

They will also tend to associate people that disagree with them to a hate group, like the Nazi's, or in Spart's case in this example the Taliban. Again, it's ridicule. You can find these tactics in more detail in Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals if you are interested in improving.

In general liberals are rather mean people although they are the ones that preach tolerance. I can go on if you want more reasons why liberals are looked down upon.

EXACTLY, which is why I have no idea how Jetackuu can justify this:

Jetackuu said: »

Well because liberals tend to use coercion to get people to do what they want which is in fact to exact opposite of liberty. Liberals are intolerant of everyone that disagrees with them. They believe that people that disagree with them are not only wrong but evil. It is a severe mental disorder born of arrogance. That is why it has a negative connotation. They also tend to wear those pussy little hipster glasses. Oh my God do I hate those pussy little hipster glasses.

I disagree with you on everything in that statement, short of that the hipster glasses are rather pussy.

Amandarius was 1000% correct (using liberal math. Actually he was only 100% correct)

Liberals are the flat earthers. They are the ones who only take what they can see, the most simplistic form of reasoning, as science. If a Christian told a flat-earth liberal there was something more than what they could see or measure, they would be met with ridicule. "Huh huh this guy says the world is round! Looks pretty durn flat to me! And if it is round, how does it stay on the giant turtle's back, huh? Stupid science-hater!"

As a Christian who could school most libs in science, let me make a few points:
1. There are hundreds of Christian institutes of higher learning that teach science, the same science as you get in secular institutions.
2. Many of the major scientific discoveries until roughly the mid-to-late 19th Century were commissioned by the Catholic Church.
3. If you want to judge us all by the fringe 1% that Bill Maher (angry, bitter, insecure - I can see why many libs love him) scrounges up and puts on TV, then don't talk to me about bigotry and hatred.
4. What most of you don't understand is that a lot of ancient beliefs were the result of scientific reasoning: Observe an event and come up with an explanation. So what if you think they were wrong? Science is wrong all the time. I know your response- "Yes nut science always corrects itself! Isn't that beautiful!? /tear" Well then you are admitting it is always wrong?

I still can't figure out the "self identifies as Hispanic" line the media keeps portraying.

for the media and the judge being against him, and still being found not guilty, it must really sting for certain groups.

Their trying to push that he's "white". GZ is about as much "white" as Obama is.

Liberal media portraying GZ as "hispanic" would mean he was a minority and according to liberal reasoning minorities can not oppress people. So because they want to believe GZ was oppressing TM, they can't possibly accept that GZ was a minority.

Mental gymnastics.

I'd agree with you if you didn't throw around the word "liberal" like a fox lapdog.

Because the entire political philosophy of the "liberal" is anti-individual freedom and extremely evil. Progressive-ism itself is an extremely evil theory, essentially it involves stripping everyone of their individual autonomy and agency so that they can become members of a single "collective" government. The theory is that by removing personal property and material possessions people would be "happier" and the collective entity would then control all property, means of production and distribution of the fruits of that production.

They sell this theory in university by preaching about the evils of material possession and the associated desire of humans to acquire those possessions. Similar to the previous socialist revolutions, they seek to turn the proletariat against the aristocracy and bourgeois by blaming all the ills of that proletariat on those they seek to persecute. Essentially the liberal political philosophy idolizes Marx and his teachings, to the detriment of everyone.

So when I speak derisively of liberals I'm not doing so out of some faux news propaganda machine but out of an understanding of exactly what the Democratic party stands for and what the core political agenda of all liberals is.

All of my criticisms are based upon legislation that Republican House and Senate members focus in upon and continuously try to pass. Controlling women, oppressing gays, fostering division amongst the races through voter ID laws, opposing government to the point of intentional sabotage, warmongering and taking things backwards with each step taken rather than proposing ideas that include rather than exclude.

Your party doesn't go a month without making a stupid comment about women, immigrants, brown people or the poor. They're almost always walked back but are designed to placate the base.

You mean like those ones that want to teach creationism in schools rather than that evil, straight out of the pits of hell evolution? Oh, you said higher learning. Yeah, religious colleges teach science no surprises there.

Quote:
2. Many of the major scientific discoveries until roughly the mid-to-late 19th Century were commissioned by the Catholic Church.

Yeah, due to the Church wielding damn near absolute power. Those discoveries that were out of sync with what the Church wanted were readily condemned and their discoverers given a stern warning to avoid the temptations of Satan. Only since the Church shed its power hegemony has it morphed into an entity that's willing to accept terms like 'evolution' and leave the science to scientists under their commission or otherwise.

Quote:
3. If you want to judge us all by the fringe 1% that Bill Maher (angry, bitter, insecure - I can see why many libs love him) scrounges up and puts on TV, then don't talk to me about bigotry and hatred.

Nope, I have something called nuance. I understand there are religious adherents who aren't frothing at the mouth crazy but hey, the ones who are have an easy time of getting front page news headlines and getting on network TV.

Oh and the religious zealots are often the ones who murder and perpetuate violence. I wonder why?

No, I'm admitting that science is a work in progress that requires constant scrutiny in order to make statements about our surrounding environment. Ancient beliefs are just that, ancient. Some have been proven wrong and others have remained constant. Science moves on until the next discovery or overthrow of an established system as it is dynamic like the rest of the universe it exists within.

You're free to debunk physics if you like but you better have more than episodes of Dragonball Z or some religious text to back it up.

I'm not entirely sure why I'm even bothering to respond, but...

The idea that liberalism and progressivism (sp?) is "evil" is entirely debatable. "Essentially it involves stripping everyone of their individual autonomy and agency so that they can become members of a single 'collective' government," isn't this a tad hypocritical, considering the conservative stance on current social issues?

I consider myself a moderate, but I, personally, cannot get behind a party with such a lack of sympathy/empathy for their fellow countrymen/women. There's always that lingering thought of a backslide leading us to some Dickensian scenario. Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, some social programs ensure the continuity of this country? In turn, those programs protect you and your family by keeping those who are in dire straights at bay. Desperation can lead people to do whatever necessary.

EDIT: Also, where in the world did you attend university, just out of curiosity?

You had an approachable point (up until the emphasized part). How many of these institutions of higher education have accreditation?

There isn't multiple kinds of science, in the same way that there isn't multiple kinds of math. How you interpret or manipulate the results of the process is separate from the process itself. That is one of the reasons why you publicize the methodology and data, not just the results, and why you have peer review.
Gilgamesh.Tenshibaby said: »
2. Many of the major scientific discoveries until roughly the mid-to-late 19th Century were commissioned by the Catholic Church.
Incorrect. You could say that a significant number of discoveries were discovered by clergymen, or that the Catholic Church actively sponsored the sciences over a timespan. However, the discoveries were not commissioned by the Catholic Church.

Science is wrong all the time. Science doesn't provide a right answer, it provides the methodology to find more correct answers.
It isn't a matter of thinking they were wrong (anyone can think someone else is wrong), it is a matter of being able to demonstrably prove that they were wrong.

But to paraphrase Neil deGrasse Tyson:
Quote:
- There is nothing wrong with saying "Here's all the stuff we don't know, God did it", but there is something wrong with just leaving it alone and not investigating it.

Here are the national party platforms for the Democratic Party and the Republican Party, and for the purpose of comparison here is the Green Party platform.

Every self-identified 'true' Republican or Conservative on this website consistently fails to recognize what nuance is in their style of argumentation. Some of our resident liberals do at times too. The ones that do post use buzzwords like 'liberal' or 'Marxist' while failing to realize that Democrats are as varied as Republicans out there. When you're calling candidates like Obama far leftists you're talking out of your *** and relying on talking points rather than objective looks at the political spectrum.

Let me let you in a little secret folks... not every Democrat is for unchecked government spending and not every Republican wants to start a war with every country on the planet! It's shocking, I know.

On a topic like politics nuance is everything.

That is an awful combination......... actually does skittles even go with anything?......
There's a Drive-in here the sells a "Sprittle"; Sprite with Skittles at the bottom. It's delicious. Taste the rainbow.. in liquid form.

Sprittle™ is going to be the name of my new drug. Patent Pending.
You know what's better than skittled flavored soda? Skittle flavored vodka. Definitely one of the better drinks that my friend concocted back in college.
