Like i said, prayer doesnt cure cancer.

Unfortunately it has. Mind you the rate is low. But even being Jewish, I think I would try Lourdes before radical surgery.

Not long before....

You can believe in your faith medication when you're dying, but don't kill someone else with it. Send me to a hospital if I'm bleeding to death on the ground, don't start praying.

I can totally understand putting your faith in god and praying... but cover all your bases. put your faith in mankind as well... Get the appropriate medical care and keep on praying. I do believe and I know that there are many others that trust in the power of prayer... It can truly help heal the mind body and soul. These parents should not be allowed to procreate.

If God is supposedly all-knowing and the almighty creator, then he kinda... created modern medicine. ...and gays. ...and liberals.

In retrospect, what are they doing that 3 of their children got bacterial pneumonia in different years? (I think i might have been pneumonic ONCE in my life if not twice).

If you were suffering a life threatening sickness and you broke down to a point where you called out to a "god" in a prayer such as "God IF you are real heal me of this sickness and i will believe." And then you miraculously recover... you would be hard pressed not to prescribe that as "divine healing".

Just my point.

The faithful can point to actual living people who can truthfully say "I prayed and God cured me". I think a few of these are paraded around the fundamentalist circuit.

"I don't know how it happened and don't care to try and find out, so, magic."
Sounds like plain old ignorance to me.

You don't understand. They don't need knowledge, they have faith.
