It's the white cap suspect who is actually at large still.
CNN is catching me up now :<

They arent ready to identify them yet :|

Although now im kinda scared of myself. I had a conversation with people about the possibility of two people/a group being involved.

Unneeded "terrorist, hes come here to kill people" talk. Do we know if they are foreign or domestic yet...no,but the police sure have put that out there.

OH god...they glorified the "FACEBOOK CAUGHT THE TERRORISTS!"

"WHY ARENT THEY RELEASING THE NAMES EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE ALL OVER 4CHAN AND TWITTER!!!?!?!?!" ...*facepalm*

Boston police scanner sounded like a small war zone tonight. Eire feeling from Afghanistan coming back when you hear they saying "suspect tossing explosives out a car window at officers" ...

Looks like they've killed 1 of the idiots now and searching for the second. 1 officer down though :(

anybody else kind of laughing at the constant "why did they stay in the area!?" questions....

Its obvious they are not foreign terror assets, its pretty obvious they went home after the bombing like idiots who commit crimes do,and its soon going to be obvious that this "terrorist" attack was a shits and giggles bombing with no real objetive than to cause chaos and panic.

we could literally do a drinking game with how many times the media has said "terrorist, terrorism, terror attack" etc.

We'd die of alcohol poisoning within the hour.

On a side note, it's been a long time since I've actually felt at the very least somewhat fearful for the current status of our lives within this country. For years, I've shrugged it off as a matter of acceptance, following the mantra of "This is simply how the world is."
However, something about all this hits home, and shrinks any remote grasp of having control over my life or those around me, and it leaves me as scared as it does bitter.

That's all a terrorist attack is -- to cause terror and disrupt the daily lives of everyone around it. The media has it in everyone's head that a terrorist must be from the Middle East or sympathize with them, and strap bombs to their chests. They like to forget a few things of recent times such as the Oklahoma City bombing which had nothing to do with their definition of a terrorist. Calling in a fake bomb threat to a school is an act of terrorism just on a much smaller scale.

I hope they feed this one sob left alive to the lions at the zoo.....

Terrorism

the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion

So, as far as this attack goes, seeing as how noone claimed responsibility or claimed a specific means as to why they did it (politically or otherwise) it is not "Terrorism" it was a Bombing, A "Senseless act of violence". Terrorism,Terrorist,Act of Terror, etc. are all buzzwords that get you to keep watching as they paradearound the story for three weeks. I dont even think the original description was provided by the FBI. The dark-skinned foreign sounding hooded guy was probably something made up by the media to further feed your need to watch.

The 9/11 attacks and the jihadist extremists that committed them are one form of terrorism. Those attacks where political statements and meant to strike fear in that form. And the important part of that, it was reinforced and claimed as such.

Martyrdom in itself is a "terrorist act". It is the sacrificing of ones self for a belief or idea.

Until this was completely fleshed out and every detail was discovered the words "terrorism" should have been words spoken only by POTUS or Homeland Security. The FBI official who started this *** ought to be fired for that bit of professional idiocy. It should've been addressed as a Bombing, serial bombing,"senseless act of violence" or any other words other than something terrorist.

edit: and only by POTUS and Homeland Security i mean in secret, behind closed doors,in private.

They say the one still alive may be wearing a suicide vest and is armed to the teeth, probably with a load of legally purchased assault rifles. For his being so armed, I blame the NRA. They basically allowed it to happen.
Easy way to prevent this from ever happening: require background checks when ppl go to buy bombs! Nice pic btw glorifying gunz.

I'm sure everyone thought your joke was amazing, now kindly take your crap to a thread that's not about a terrorist attack that cost American lives, since we all know how this will turn out.

No joke. Leave this thread to the people pissed about guns while bombs are going off, who blame non-government organizations for our current laws, and generally circle-jerk each other into thoughtless, impractical opinions about how many lives are saved by giving school kids a 3 second break after some dude shoots 15 rounds vs 30.

Umass Dartmouth isn't ivy league last time I checked my tuition bill. Just makes this whole situation hit even closer to home to me.

You also can't blame the nra for this situation, anyone with a criminal agenda has access to any of these weapons even easier than law abiding citizens. Outlawing these items won't change anything to them. No need to spin it to serve a purpose. As a gun owner, I believe there would be less criminal acts if criminals knew more law abiding citizens were carrying. If you want to point a more accurate finger of blame, point it at Walmart or whichever retailer sold these guys pressure cookers. Blame the internet for allowing the information to construct these devices so easily accessible. Also keep in mind that these guys have been described as smart, kind, nice guys. The people who knew these suspects are completely shocked. Their agenda has not been released and my guess is if it pans out the way they planned it we will never know. regardless of pointless speculation we can safely admit a few truths: 1 anyone can pull this off, even people we least expect. 2 they caught us (the people of Boston) with our guard down on a day that meant so much to us Bostonians. And 3 they weren't well planned. they found the 2 brothers at their residence shortly after the FBI released their photos. They panicked and people got hurt. We aren't even sure they were the only ones involved.

Im watching another Uncle of the *** 19 year old on the run being giving a press release...its a shame this man has to defend his family and morals b/c his sadistic, anarchist nephew decided to do what he did. Of course the *** reporters asking him things like "What is your opinion of the USA" and "Are ppl from your country aggressive towards the USA?"...i feel bad for this man and his family.

Im talking about the Uncle who calls the two *** "losers" and says he hasnt talked to them in over 7 years.

Agreed on the uncle...but respectable that the man kept his cool as much as he did, as I would have told the media to buzz off and not comment. I woke up to find they had a lead on the suckers though...hopefully they get this other one alive.

With self righteous liberals disappointed in who the perps were reporting my posts, yes it will probably turn out that way.
