Scouts' Coalition
Survey: Ceizak Battlegrounds - Investigate an Ergon locus in either Ceizak or YahseHG successfully. At first I kept getting failure due to time of the day or distance, in the end I got a success in Yahse at 4 am at 2.6 yalms. No idea if it is random, but worth passing along the info.

Got mine in Ceizak at 9:09 at 2.2. Not sure if it is random, but it IS annoyoing.
got mine at 8:00 at 2.0 yalms, friend got at 8:15 at 1.6 yams, my guess, prob mid morning times between 1-3 yalms? with luck this is slightly accurate and helps other people

this was in ceizak btw

For Courier Frontline delivery:

1 Imprimatur - 500 exp/bayld reward
2 Imprimatur - 900 exp/bayld reward (450 each imprimatur)
3 Imprimatur - 1200 exp/bayld reward (400 each imprimatur)

Delivered to Ceizak Battlegrounds each time. Not sure how reward is affected by the zone you deliver to.

I still want to know if using one 1imp for a supply run is equal (in the case of getting a bivouac to spawn) to using 2-3+ imps for the same task.

I've been doing 1imp runs to continuously feed the npc supplies to spawn the bivouac.

^ this, also any news on Nakauuls et? I searched vevery inch of Yashe and saw no giant beehive tree like in the trailer for the bee HNM. Assuming they're all like the Timed abyssea NMs (Empousa/Hedjedjet/etc.) and wont pop till a certain colinazation % is reached. Ceizak on asura been around 10%~15% for days, yashe been 9%~11%. Anyone got higher then these on their server?

They are behind some roadblocks with ??? in front, so they're likely instanced. They belong to Wildskeeper Reives, so I think PKs need to be leveled to gain access.

Not sure if it's been said but (at least for peacekeepers) access to the other mission "patrol" is gained when you rank up. Went from peacekeeper petitioner to peacekeeper probationer and I can now do them. Rala Waterways had me killing 5 toads, Sih Gates had 5 Twitherym and Moh Gates had 5 Raptors. I chose Rala and 1 tag gave me 750exp/bayld.

Not sure if it's been said but I can confirm that there is a message in log when a Bivouac is secured. Just got one on sylph, does not need to wait until conquest update.

Bit of a question to see if anyone else has noticed this.

Up until this morning Colo Reives yielded me between 3-5k Bayld. There would be a reasonable sized group doing the reive (20 people +), it would take 7-10 mins and, as stated, we reaped in the reward.

As of this morning, reives would take 2 mins, max. The mobs seemed to fall when you looked at them and the HP of the tree was a joke.

Is this due to a higher colonization rate?(About 15% yesterday, 24% today) If that is the case these reives are going to be really not worth it by the next conquest tally.

This was on JP prime, just for your info. The DDs couldn't have been -that much- more effective than say, a US prime team, right? I really cannot believe that.

Or is this some weird bug? Other than the colonization rate and the time of day nothing really has changed. So, what's up?

That seems weird to me to be honest, but I wouldn't put it past SE to do something like that. Also I think you need to consider that there are quite a few other zones that have colonization efforts and if everyone was always spending time on the Ceizak and Yahse the other areas wouldn't get explored. So it would make sense that as your colonization rate increases in the zone that the reives would get easier and thus you would want to move on to the next zone.

Good points. I just wanted to post to see if anyone else had an opinion, or has noticed this. But I think you nailed it Tsol. However, can easily see that no one will do the starter zone reives at all due to the lower reward, and totally halt progress of the weekly "colonization".

When Ragnarok had 0 Bivouacs, we were stuck around 10% colonization (plus or minus 2%).
When we got 1, we were stuck around 15%.
When we got 2, 20%.
Now that we have all 3, we seem to be stuck at 25% ish.

I'm wondering if any other servers seem to be getting much higher than 25% (30%ish area). And if they are also stuck at 25% with 3 Bivouacs, I wonder what we need to do to break the soft cap.

probably cant be broken because if its related to the guilds in any way, they are capped at lvl 3 and cannot go any higher.

All you can do is wait for next update for caps to be increased.

Interesting observation. There may be a cap on the colonization rate at the moment but I decided to look at the Colonization page on the SoA website and it suggests that that rate is tied to all of the different guild activities in the zone. It might be necessary to do more than just reives or biouvacs to increase the colonization rate. So things like gathering materials or scouting the area could very well help.

@Sambb - I don't believe the guild rank has anything to do with the colonization rate. I believe that has more to do with what is made available through the guild; ie: equipment, maps and such.

Perhaps you have to colonize the adjacent zone to boost the rates further.

I was getting more than before if anything this morning, not that I think there were any changes.

"A colonization rate exists to measure how much of the wilderness has been settled, and it fluctuates depending upon how often pioneers fulfill the various coalitions' assignments."

^ Taken from the SoA website. It's hard to tell atm whether we just need to unlock more pioneer/courier assignments, or if that includes the other coalitions as well. It's somewhat hard for me to believe that gathering materials for the inventors coalition would raise our colonization rate, but then again, it all depends on what was going through SE's mind when they made this.

"Myriad benefits accompany the rate's rise, such as the ability to pass quickly and unscathed through the jungle and the luxury of being able to gather resources with ease."

So yes, it would mean gathering materials for the inventors guild, doing recon for the scouter's, etc...
