Importing this from bg since not everyone reads that and might be worth having info on here as well.
Source

Colonization % on the zone appears to go up after doing Colonization Reives.
Colonization Reives respawn roughly every hour.
There are currently 5 survival skills in game that appear crucial around Adoulin, Logging, Watercrafting, Demolishing, toxin resiliences and paralesis resiliences. Watercrafting is used in Foret and probably along the beach areas. Demolishing is logging but for rocks, and the other 2 are to prevent environment damage from Numbing Blossoms and Pungent Fungi. All of them are obtained from quests.. so i would recommend to clear at least the first 3 if you want to explore more.
For Logging, talk to Elmric at the Ceizak Frontier Station, attack a Knotted Root, and then go talk to Elmric at the Ceizak Frontier Station again.
For Watercrafting there is a quest in Foret and requires 3 Dhalmel Leather, Twitherym Scale and Umbril Ooze.
For Demolition there is a quest in Morimar and requires a Marble Nugget.
Can carry a max 15 tags according to npc chat. One tag recharged every 6 hours. Talk with a Task Delegator to begin charging them.
In order to get experience and bayld while participating on Colonization Reives, you MUST hit the knotted root.

Six Coalitions in Adoulin (Talk with Task Delegators):

Peacekeepers' Coalition

Scouts' Coalition
Survey: Ceizak Battlegrounds - Investigate an Ergon locus in either Ceizak or YahseHG successfully. At first I kept getting failure due to time of the day or distance, in the end I got a success in Yahse at 4 am at 2.6 yalms. No idea if it is random, but worth passing along the info.

Inventors' Coalition
Gather Materials: Does not matter how you get them, you can farm or AH.
Rala Waterways - Find and trade the Task Delegator 3 Spools of Bloodthread.
Ceizak Battelgrounds - Find and trade the Task Delegator 5 Chapuli Wings.
Yahse Hunting Grounds - Find and trade the Task Delegator 5 Twitherym Wings.

Couriers' Coalition
Base provisions: Not available (On my server).
Supply Delivery: Not available (On my server).
Frontline Support (Ceizak Battlegrounds): Deliver Key Item to a Frontier Bivouac in either Ceizak Battleground or Yhase Hunting Grounds. (They are found after a Knotted Tree, once you defeat it walk down the path a bit and you should see one)

Pioneers' Coalition
Clear the Way - The only one i've done, destroy a Colonization Reive and you win. I got 1800 exp/bayld for 3 tags.

Mummers' Coalition
Recovering Lost Articles (Ceizak Battlegrounds): Find a lost article.
Behavioral Research (Rala Waterways): Become the victim from a special attack from a slug.
Morale Boosting: Not available (On my server).

Colonization Reive Locations: (Have a few people at the root while most pick up the mobs and fight them, we are using a BLU for his AoE sleep but mostly going crazy fighting whatever)

(J-8) Yahse Hunting Grounds - Knotted Root with Lancing Wasps. They link and agro if you are participating in the Colonization Reive.
(I-8) Ceizak Battlegrounds
(G-9) Ceizak Battlegrounds - Knotted Root with Lavender Twitherym.
(G-9) Yahse Hunting Grounds - Knotted Root with Quivering Twitherym guarding.

Lair Reive Locations: (We are zerging the nests and ignoring the mobs surrounding it, when the nest dies the mobs despawn and you win the Lair Reive.)

(F-9) Ceizak Battlegrounds - Wasp Nest with Prosperous Luckybug and Waggling Wasp.
(E-7) Ceizak Battlegrounds - Wasp Nest with Waggling Wasp and Floorplain Spiders guarding.
(I-11) Ceizak Battlegrounds - Wasp Nest with Waggling Wasp and Molted Mantis
(G-8) Yahse Hunting Grounds - Wasp Nest with Quivering Twitherym and Cerise Wasp guarding.
(I-6) Yahse Hunting Grounds - Wasp Nest with Thrashing Mantis and Cerise Wasp guarding.
(F-7) Yahse Hunting Grounds - Wasp Nest with Shrubshredder Chapuli and Cerise Wasp guarding.

Idk if -somebody- needs to be attacking the roots, but I've spent ~10 mins only fighting the mobs around the roots and getting ~2k baylds.

Anyone has information on fishing? Fished the beach in Yahse hunting ground.Noticed so far:
Contortopus bites on shrimp lure, not so good on rogue rig. (skill cap??)
Senroh sardine bites on lugworm. (skill cap)
Shen (!!! fish) bites on meatball. This is probably Adoulin's equivalent to Cave cherax (skill cap 110+).

the other 2 are to prevent environment damage from Numbing Blossoms and Pungent Fungi.

Looks like those last 2 might come from these 2 quests:

The Whole Place Is Abuzz
Numbing blossoms have antidotal effects that inhibit the poisons of pungent fungi. Head to the dead end to the southwest and use the Land of Milk and Honey beehive to collect ten bees. Make sure you are resting quietly to collect them!

Poisoning the Well
Researching the properties of the Zoldeff River may lead to insights that aid the colonization initiative. Collect some water from the mouth of the river and bring it back to Fritha.

First time fighting in Reive, had same experience, but realized I was getting Baylds due to someone not in our pt who was fighting the Knotted Root. Attempting to do another Reive with just my group, we fought for 20-30 mins killing just the minion spawns and received nothing, prompting us to go retrieve the logging KI.

Six Coalitions in Adoulin (Talk with Task Delegators):

Peacekeepers' Coalition
Did a mission for the Peacekeeper's Coalition that was simply to go and destroy a Lair Reive. Signed up with 3 friends, completed while in alliance with several random ppl in zone. Used 3 of the Imprimatuers, noticed that upon reporting my success, the mission details had 1 star marked beside the objective, unsure if this denotes we could've destroyed more targets for increased reward or some other indicator. Received 2400 Baylds.

At the beginning of the expanion missions you get a Pioneer's Badge. Is that for the Pioneer's coalition only? Is there a badge for each coalition?

It's a generic badge like the mercenary you had in AU, everyone in Adoulin recognizes you as a pioneer that works for them.

I really want head and body armor but that coalition dagger is really nice too since I sold my Aluh before the expansion (avoid price drop). I feel dirty maining twilight haha. All will come in due time.

Lot of people selling them early for when we get access to Coalition Dirk (DMG 54 in reives) and the Leisilonu which has a base Damage of 52 and can be augmented with DMG+3 STR+3 DEX+5. It likely comes from Skirmishes or Wildskeeper Reives.

4 dmg over alugh, and 5 dex isn't beating the crit dmg and att from aluh though I would wager or the extra STR on aluh... odd. I guess I won't sell my aluh for a loss just yet.

With the new 1h adjustments damage may be even more influential though. At a glance they look like they would perform similarly, only difference is the coalition dirk will be bought with bayld which is really easy (and fun) to get and the Aluh is from doing a not fun VW or bought for 700k-900k depending on server. Leis might be bought with it as well but we'll have to wait and see on that.

What it comes down to is cheap, effective, placeholders for the Macoquetza (DMG58 Delay200 AGI+8 Subtle Blow+7). (edit: or going for a 99 rem with hopes that theyre improved like se said they would by means other than tom)

Perhaps, but I guess going with a semi-useful free version and turning tail and pocketing what you can from selling your aluh might be the better option, seeing is how you can still output dmg with either of the new knives. Fair point, but I wouldn't say any of those new knives (sans the last one you mentioned with the really high dmg) are "better" than aluh. New rations also play into your attack stat being more useful, as aluh has much more than either of the first two options.

So what exactly determines how much Bayld you get from a Reive? My points have been random, getting anywhere from ~100 to sometimes 500+.

It appears that your total contribution (damage, healing) effects mostly your exp and the amount of bayld you get is dependent on how many people are participating, yielding more if distribution between monsters and roots is relatively equal. I've gotten 900+ bayld on some tics when there were people fighting on both sides of the roots.

This sort of makes it so there's a cap on how much bayld a reive will give. If you have 3 people fighting you'll get low bayld but it will last longer, if you have 40 people youll get high bayld but it will last shorter.

Edit: I should add that your total contribution does effect your bayld as well but seems like to a lesser effect to the participant multiplier.

Need the emblem to unlock new items to augment our stuff. Right now we can only buy Coalition Grease which gives HP/MP on our armor, but perhaps we can buy new items to augment other stuff. Can we augment better stuff than HP/MP? I don't know, but we won't ever find out until we unlock that emblem.

Made a map of Cirdas Caverns, since it's likely to be a hotspot with skirmish. It's pretty good for farming bayld as well, if you have a coordinated group and want to avoid all the scrubs running around. I ran around the entire zone and put everything that seemed noteworthy on the map, I didn't miss any spots terrain-wise, but may have been some reives that were down.

Feel free to repost on BG, don't care enough to reregister there.
