does anyone know how to get those 2 new jobs and where to go to warp/zone into adoulin areals ?
pretty sure i read somewhere it was a boat ride again so assuming valkurm or mhaura

When I started it said 2 hours to completion. I go to sleep and wake up. It's 9am so 4 hours later and it is at 51% and has 4 hours to go. At least I wasn't kicked lol.
I Cant even Log into POL,
not only today, since 24th ; ; checked router, cables, connection ect 1000 times .... tho everything else works but FFXI...... ^ SE did something REALY REALY bad its always like this on update days.. just relax and try again in a few minutes. Its NOT your internet or system.. its theirs.

Then you're lucky. Sometimes you get in, sometimes you don't. Its also a major expansion being released so everyone and their mules are trying to get in and download. SE's system is really bad for handling that kind of stress.

Seems EU ppl are kiced out...im trying to download in last 4 hours but still nothing
Finally made it past the POL1160 error and now erroring out on Verifying FFXI Version POL-1160 and POL-1161 error. Ok now at downloading latest version information 0% and holding. ...... POL-1161. You would think with so few servers now they would be able to handle the reduced load, but no.. Bet if my IP Address originated in Japan, I would already have Geomancer and RuneFencer unlocked and leveled to 99

yeah those new waypoint thingys are useable since like 2 weeks or before , theyre mini quests to get some warp access like warp to beadeaux and other spots which you cant get via OP warp and VWNM warp.
Well there's no point blaming SE, there was no way they could have predicted that congestion might increase on the day a new expansion came out... >.> *sigh*

I'm EU, been downloading for 4 hours, 34% done and time remaining is at 7h 54mins lol... Expansion update is expansion update. For new players, this is normal, relax and breathe. After so many years, environment still not sized correctly. I personally don't mind waiting - but I'm sorry, if after 10 years at my job and I still didn't fix an issue like this at my job - mine or somebody's head would be had.
It's really not even that much traffic to handle - when you consider other companies out there handling much more with no issues like this. I mean its every time, every expansion/big update. P.s. my update finally started working Guess I'll just wait till Japan goes to sleep, USA goes to work, and Europe says ***-it and goes out to get drunk. Then i should be able to log-on.
