Maybe it might be an idea to have two TP capes, using the one with Store TP when Impetus is up and the one with Critical Hit Rate when it falls?

I'll mess around with the Karambit tomorrow and do some numbers.

Ok I will include all relevant weapons now. Including R0 ones. I will use two variants of rolls usually used at events. CC Samurai roll and fighter's or chaos. All with +7 phantom roll (many people have path C Rostams but most people don't I think) and NO job bonus. I assume following attack only on one hand on Sagitta path B, until I see a 100% proof it can proc on both fists.

Target: Apex Eruca VIT 228, AGI 235
Static condition: capped pdif, Veret and Glanz assuming AM3 up, so if you don't have TP at start, they will lose a little here.

Ambuscade Weapons
(00:29:50)
In addition to adding a third and fourth phase of the Ambuscade weapon upgrade, we're also planning to change the design of the weapon as well. The weapon upgrade phase doesn't end on the fourth phase but will go on just a bit longer. As for the final stats on these weapons, we're thinking of setting them so that these weapons are adequate enough before obtaining the “best” weapon.
Job Adjustments

This is assumed to mean augments, but I'm still skeptical due to the amount of text.

As far as I know, it actually wasn't said directly, but here's the quote that I think people are referring to:

Reading that digest, I think they were referring to the Kaja weapons as the "fourth phase", so we're already at the part they mentioned beyond the fourth phase.

They've also changed the design of the weapons as well as the names, so I think they're done with them.

It all depends on if they count base as a phase or not. Phases being changes, highly dependent on translation. I still really doubt they get augments, but it wouldn't be a surprise either.

...and they can and have changed their mind on a whim, or straight out lied multiple times... so... it could still have 9 more phases

Don't forget there is still hopes of tier3 ambu gear (Yigit/Amir/Pahluwan remakes) that they can still get more run out of the ambu thing. It's their baby and their easiest method of "battle content".

Recycle monsters, add more HP and "fck you mechanics", swap out ambu rewards, add a new gear grind, limit them to 1~2 per month, require a sub 1% drop to complete. rinse, repeat.

10 crit > 10 wsd > 10 da, can't be all that much... like 100 average damage best to worst? on the outdated sheet its about 150, but thats from april 17'

That was the goal, to make less capes, so long as the gap wasn't noticeable.

STR WSD pretty much covers every h2h I guess, well enough anyway.

For people using Karambit, could also do STR Crit and have that double as a very good TP cape. Yeah, you lose some TP acc from having STR instead of DEX, but considering the large amount on the weapon and good TP gear (i.e., Kendatsuba) that might be fine depending on what you're doing on MNK. And it's better for acc-capped situations anyway. The bigger loss would be the lower crit rate from losing DEX though, so eh... decisions.

I should prob just get a Needle and change DEX/DA TP cape to DEX/Crit, now that I think about it...

10% Crit hit rate translates into roughly 5 STP with Karambit correct? May just be better to use a STP cape. I'm not really keen on how that effects white damage though. For sure a DA or STP cape will be better with Impetus up. Just curious if the Crit cape is better with it down.

A and D are close, but D should do slightly better for V.Smite in most scenarios. Wouldn't shock me to see situations where A gets a slight edge just based on your target/buffs though. Comes down to STR+12 (Path A) versus DA+4%/Acc+5 (Path D).

A will be more consistent damage, D will spike higher and averages higher over time on spreadsheet. Either one is fine though.

A will spike higher not D. I see people confusing this one often. +12 STR makes you base damage higher, so the spikes will be higher. What you can say is that spikes with path D will be more frequent.
