This post is really old but this is actually something I'd like to know more about!

BG Wiki lists 3 trusts that use Haste Samba. Mumor, Uka Totlihn, and Mayakov. All three say that they only use it if there's a party member with a main job that can cast Cure (so a RDM for this discussion, since they're a Haster) or against an undead enemy.

Do they keep it up full-time in that case? I've never actually tried them. Like, is it a reliable source of Haste, even if it's kind of a crappy one?

Mayakov is the only 1 with merits iirc so only one worth considering. Beyond general acc issues he can be slow to refresh it due to spamming steps but is otherwise good about it.

None of them are that good imo. Don't you have to be on main job with magic though? Or is a trust that uses magic really enough to trigger it?
