Graphics Presets Maximum, Resolution 1280 x 768 Score 8092 :) Alright! Let's see how much my pc fails this time!

Ran twice because my first test was semi screwed up when I tried to move the window.
First score was 74xx Second score was 7958 Both 1920x1080 @ maximum Hopefully more people will be able to play this game...
My PC is 2007ish (was high end at the time) and it scored 5005 on default settings... Also I had a ton of stuff open while running the benchmark ... Code System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.120821-1629) AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2815.477MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280(VRAM 1024.0 MB) 6.14.0012.6063 The most impressive thing on it is the fact that the new engine can do LOD and Occlusion Culling. Also it has a ton of customization options to reduce (or enhance) the drawing details. At points with less objects to draw my PC had a massive increase on frame rate, which means smoother motion on story cutscenes with low motion, for example. If only they made FFXIV like this back then instead of hire Chinese people to do the boring work they would not lose so much money. I won't say "the hope on mankind is restored" after seeing this, but this is indeed a very good start. Scored 8300 on default, and 2700something on Max which it still rated as fairly high.
If they can dumb it down for PS3, I'd think most current pc's should be able to handle it. (though the video I last saw of PS3, still looked a bit jerky). anyone else getting errors unzipping the files along with this error even after opening the benchmark
i have tried both winzip and winrar and get different errors on both while unzipping 5733 w/ everything but shadows maxed (I remember what shadows did to XI, lol so I turned them to the lowest) @ 720p resolution

I think the recording sucks for the ps3 version i don't think it was the system itself doing all the lag. Remember on of the 2.0 videos showing limit break i think it lag like crazy due to how they upload it this time it seem w/e they use to record the ps3 version mess up. Re: PS3 video

 Btw for anyone using SLI or dual core cards,I noticed during the benchmark it only used 1 core of 1 card (dual GTX690's so 4 cores total) so we can look forward to even better performance from the full release :D
When I try and open it, it says I need directx 9 (I have 11, which apparently I can't replace with 9) any suggestions?
How do you run it in full screen?

:o scored a 5324 at 1080 with max settings and 7685 at 1360x768 on max settings (for the 32" I have hooked up as a second monitor). Had FFXI up and assorted other crap up in the background if that makes any difference...

My set up is FX-8120 OC'ed at 4.2G 2x GTX 570 OC'ed to 797 gpu clock/1950 mem clock 16G RAM :o Can't wait until the full version comes out, wonder if it will actually support some SLI since you can't force it on the benchmark. if you read the notes on the download, it says that currently no fullscreen mode on the benchmark and that for release they are talking with the gpu companies to try and get SLI and crossfire working... im really looking forward to actually using my 2 Radeon HD 7970's and not the 1 from benchmark :(
@Weakness yea all that being open would lower the score so at least you tested it the way you might be running it anyways so good 5k is good and 7k+ is best so not so bad... |
