Can't Add Crysta

As we all know all to well FFXI customer server sucks! Is anyone else having trouble purchasing crysta? I am using the same cc i have used for months and it keeps saying card denied. It denies my paypal as well and the same for my roommates cc. I am trying to purchase a world transfer but the only options are to pay with crysta and click and buy (which sucks in and of itself). My cc info is saved in the SE which pays the monthly fee yet it wont acknowledge the card for crysta? WTF?

I paid for my monthly fee today with crysta no problems. I don't use a C.C. though. I use a Ultimate Game card you get from Wal-Mart, 7 Eleven, Walgreens ect.

CnB Double-charged me for crysta last month and refuses to acknowledge they did so, and I honestly don't feel like arguing for 5 hours on the phone for $15, so I said *** it.... I still hate CnB though.

I'm facing the same problem as Camantha. Does anyone know how to fix this?

just added 1,000c to see if it was working, mind ya i dont use c&b <BoA blocked my card last time i tried using it and had to get a new one lol> just the cc through ultimate pay. so if ya can just set up an UP account and link it with ya se one, from there ya should be able to add your CC and add Crysta as ya see fit. if that dont work those UG cards only cost 10-20 bucks with 1k-2kc respectivly

I usually buy crysta through Ultimate Pay but as someone pointed out above, there are game cards that can be purchased by walking into physical stores and tendering portraits of dead presidents.

Interestingly Squenix won't take my CC, but Ultimate Pay likes it just fine.

I used to use crysta and hated it, switched back to SE charging my credit card every month. So you use real money to buy crystals then use those to pay for monthly fee. Thats like going to the store and using real money to buy apples and then using the apples to buy other stuff. Crysta is the worst idea in the history of mankind. thanks SE.

The main benefit to crysta is the fact you don't have to put your personal information and credit/debit cards online. It's not bad as long as you remember to buy a card or two when you're out doing errands and whatnot.

If it's Error Code: (601), call UltimatePay. It's their system preventing scams for SE. They will probably see your payment records and unblock your e-mail/credit card and payment will go through. Takes 5 minutes.

Yeah last month I couldn't get Ultimate Pay to take any of the cards I've been using since we switched to the account management system so I had to buy the ultimate game card and that worked for me as well. I was hoping it was just a bug or something but I guess I should just buy game cards from now on.
Don't know how to help sorry, been looking for answers myself.

Thanks everyone for the help, but my problem is that my account does not give me any other option other than Click&Buy which does not work for my region(Middle East).

Also, I have a mule which has it's own seperate SE account and could purchase Crysta through my Cc smoothly. But for my main one, you do not see that option.

Not really, not everyone has a CC that works(I used to have problem with 3D secure and the CC has to be in service region for it to work too), without crysta I won't be able to pay for FFXI.

I have problems with my credit card as well.

In my case the problem is three levels of online security verification.

1) the registration to SE site itself.
2) registration to some independant security verification system SE uses.
3) online registration required by the bank that issued my card(UFJ) via a security code.

Friggin ridiculous.
So the independent system was blocking my card from being registered on the SE site, and then my bank was blocking me from registering on the independant site.

Finally I couldn't register the card online with my bank because I lost the friggin physical card with the security code on it years ago. Called the bank to reset my security code and they said best they can do is cut my card in half and reissue me a whole new one, meaning I'd be out a credit card for an entire month and any revolving payments on my current credit card (gas bill, etc.) would need to be re-registered on the new card.

So I said F' it and just buy crysta from the convenience store each month...

But that's Japan.

Because I am in Brazil, I have to buy webmoney from a second company, transfer to webomoney.jp wallet then finally credit it as crysta on SE account. SutoCorp and webmoney.jp together bite me about 1000 yen every time I buy 10000 yen worth of crysta.

Ok so after being declined via debit card i have used for yrs, paypal which has $ in it I decided to bite the bullet and go get a damn ultimate card... guess what!? Same ***! It declined it also. So I call SE and yea they r as helpful as *** on a bore. So here I am with 2 accounts on 2 different servers and unable to move either one! /scream
