Any hints on (near the ending, open with caution I guess!):
After the purple area with the double eye bridge, I've reached a yellowish hallway with a single door triggered by laser that doesn't stay open long enough to run through. I'm stumped. If anyone could give a hint without giving away the answer directly, that would be most appreciated. qq
The room afterwards actually seems to be empty as well. Not that that means anything. I've tried sort-of going backwards, but I didn't have too much luck with that either.

I'd help but I'm not near the end. I'm just trying to make the game last a bit.

Hm, I've seen to have gotten past it but
it was entirely by accident. Now I am in the empty room. And am just as confused as before.

Few I'm missing are from Laying the Foundation, and the one about angles. >:(

so. i just got the game. i'm hooked. however i can't seem to find out where i'm suppose to be. i don't want to look up tutorials and walkthough. it spoils the fun. is there some means of telling what puzzle you need to be working on or area hints?
iv wandered around what areas i can explore over and over, only to be stumped by puzzles i can't do yet

I agree, stay away from guides, as this game is about bending your mind to think differently.
With that said, make sure you check everything, even what looks to be dead ends. Walls can disappear, invisible floors and stairs can form, elevators have different points that you can walk off although they won't stop at all of them.
So the most important thing is to pay attention and to think out of the box.
Also, for the floors you can jump on and it springs you back up, you can keep doing that and it will lower more and more while it springs you higher and higher. If you can go down far enough there are usually rooms under them.

The more important puzzles will have rooms that wipe your inventory so you can't "cheat" like that.

And the even more important puzzles will have rooms that want you to think you've wiped your inventory but you really didn't.
And, yes, pillering is a normal strategy that must be used. So is riding flying cubes.

Finished the game tonight (while working with a good friend of mine admittedly). We only missed one picture, but all puzzles on the map were solved. Probably just forgot to click on it. It's the cake with the slice taken out of it, if anyone wants to remind me where that was >_>. Also, does anyone know if there is something special you get for finding all of the rolling cubes? We found a lot of them but there is no indication of how many are left.
edit: Anyone know where the save files are located? I'd like to move my save from lappy to desktop (and also backup in case I want to start a new game).

You actually may have not come across the cake, as it's not found in any of the regular puzzles, simply a random dead end. I forgot where I happened upon, but I know I've randomly arrived at it a few times. It was at the bottom of some weird drop. ~~; Sorry that's not particularly useful. The two I'm missing now are both in "Many Different Angles". Any tips? :\ can't get inside the damn blue box or get that door open.
They can be. You just have to be smart about it. You can break parts and move the others while the missing part is gone to separate them. You can also make a square in that box.

Never mind!
Yayyyy!
Also, regarding the purple blocks:
I saw no purpose to them. Maybe it was just a silly easter egg.
I still have "incomplete" path markers at Laying the Foundation and Connecting the Pieces. I'm really not sure why.

I'd have thought the install would be bigger but it's kinda small :| Hope this isn't one of those games that takes only like 20 minutes to beat lol.

should be around 1 GB, 10 hours for the average player, 3 hours for critical thinking players, 1 hour 30 min or less for speed runs.

might be bigger file but not sure lol, only going from the initial install :3
but as I said cannot play it :| better be a easy fix or i'm getting my money back asap.

The story are the pictures you find, but this game is a puzzle game and your goal is to get to the end.

That 1 hour 30 minute estimated speed run time must be for completing all puzzles. My first speedrun attempt just now was 22 minutes. That's with rushing the gun upgrades and going straight to the end.

I personally think
that it's just to psyche you out. It can't be a speed run timer. As you pointed out, when you know what you you're doing it takes much less time. As far as the time to complete all puzzles, the picture that shows up after it runs out is one of the puzzle pictures. So your time would technically be the same always.
