So awhile ago I cracked my screen and have only now looked into getting a repair kit. However I can't find one for a good price that doesn't have a large amount of negative reviews...

Is it a crack or a scratch? I doubt you'll have much luck finding anything to solve a crack that doesn't involve taking your phone to an apple store or getting it replaced.

Kinda off topic, but still Apple... I just got a macbook pro (Late 2007 model) that has some screen burn on the edge of the screen (or water damage, not really sure, it doesn't really bother me much) but as far as replacing it myself, is there a site that shows you how to and or sells the monitor?

The screen is cracked. Though from what I hear that's an easy fix that you can do for 30-40 bucks instead of taking it to the apple store and having it cost ~200

i run a small privately owned videogame/electronics shop and i specialize in repairs it is possible to replace the screen yourself but its a bit complicated if your not already familiar with taking apart small electronics id recommend making a diagram of the phone on a paper to lay out all the screws as you take them out so you dont mix them up and there are many videos out there that show how ot do it ifixit has some nice ones the repair kits that ive seen out there are half decent but none are really up to the oem quality

Go onto craigslist and find some guy who jailbreaks phones as a business. 9/10 chance he'll prolly fix screens. That's how I fixed all my smartphone screens. Or heck even type iphone repair- something will come up on craigslist.

But yah it's pretty cheap I think I paid 20-30 bucks to get my screen replaced.
