And no, I assume that the banning of a gun type, is a slippery slope to go down, and will only lead to more guns being banned for citizens and let only criminals to have them.
And in the fear whipped up by the gun lobby, gun sales skyrocket.
Again, military weapons are banned though you could make the 2nd amendment argument that I'm entitled to a SAM, a mortar or a grenade launcher.
I didn't see us tumble down the slippery slope there and outlawing firearms completely hasn't been taken seriously unless you count Piers Morgan as speaking for America.
I agree that people should be able to get military weapons, and a lot of them people can, although there's way too much regulation on them.

So is Colin Powell.

How isn't it helping? Condoleeza Rice is one of the most accomplished African American women in our nations history. An absolute genius graduating from collega at the age of 19, fluent in five languages the first female African-American Secretary of State; among many other Acedemic and Professional accomplishments; and Bacon sums her up as meh Condi.

Well with enough permits and taxes paid, I think you can own SOME explosives. I was interested in getting a Grenade launcher for an AR, mostly for kicks and giggles, thought it was illegal to own, found out that it was not, just expensive and hard to come by outside armed forces. I could be wrong, saw this information once and was browsing, so if I am wrong, good, we should not have those weapons. =) Could you imagine the fun the rednecks would have with that? =D

Jonathan Crutchley, one of the richest gay men in America! Very republican- donated to Romney and McCain.

Being gay doesn't make someone a minority.

Being gay doesn't make someone a minority. Being gay does put you in a oppressed group. And it is a sexual minority.

I'll give you that point and raise you two bowls of "Legitimate Rape", the endless anti-LBGT commentary and the countless flubs from members of the Republican Party with regards to minorities.
You don't lose colored people by the margins Romney did without good cause and holding meeting in a former slave plantation regarding how to communicate with black voters doesn't come off as intellectual either.

you were answered, when you didn't like the response you changed your question.
please, stop trying to pursue your race card. I'm actually not pursing the race card. I am pursuing the "people who actually have necessity for self-protection" based on high violent crime rates. So I'll kinda rephrase it so it doesn't put you into a corner, my apologies. Areas like Boston, Atlanta, Houston, LA, NYC, Chicago. We don't "often" see lower-income OR minorities from those areas advocating zero-gun-regulation. And I think that is a point that cannot be ignored.
E.g. Boston. Boston is certainly not all pretty and a lot of it's gun violence isn't solely black/latinos.
EDIT: Also when I mention those cities obviously Oprah's neighborhood in Chicago isn't going to have a high crime rate....I'm talking about specific neighborhoods.

So you want to know why people who live around gangs and have family members die due to gangs/gang activity/regular criminal activity don't like guns? because it's an emotional reaction, not a logical one.
combat the crime, not the tool used in the crimes, they've been attempting the later for ages, it doesn't work.

I covered this already: if criminals want to be safe, they can start by not becoming criminals.

because the latter infringes on the rights of others, and wouldn't solve the problem in the first place.

Romney should have won the election with how much work was put into sabotaging Obamas first term. Sheer stupidity and appealing to far right lunatics tossed the election the other way. It isn't like Obamas numbers were that good or that people weren't willing to give Romney a chance.
Romney's smug rich boy attitude, disdain of the poor and his inability to be himself were his undoing. His ragequit when the election was decided coupled with Bill O'Reilly announcing that colored people just want "stuff" sealed the fate of the current Republican party.

Question then:
The NRA reaction to Connecticut along with all those parents who "feel the need" to protect themselves. Is that an emotional reaction too?
Or do you need to have blood spilled of a family member for it to be an emotional reaction?

How many more years until the election victory lap ends? Talked about Bush first four years, guess we'll just talk about Romney for the next four.

Election victory lap? There is no victory when Congress is borderline worthless, stuck spinning due to partisan brinksmanship, corporate money owns our polticians, Congress refuses to come to work and 64% of Republicans still believe the President isn't American. Did I mention Citizens United?
The victory you think I'm gloating about was short lived indeed. As much as I may disagree with Republican policies, we need both sides working together in order to get ***done. That can't happen when useless person-hood bills are being passed while the country still suffers.
Lets not even get started on the Sandy Hook truthers.

there's a large difference in defending one's rights, and attempting to restrict/remove others in an attempt to gain false security.
edit: I still find it disgusting that people are using a tragedy to push their anti-gun agendas.

As a concerned American that advocates stronger gun control you should demand that President Obama lift Executive Privilege from the Fast and Furious documents.

there's nothing false in having the ability to defend oneself. Of course because a gun equates efficient self defense. nothing false about that.

Various politicians and media refusing signs saying "This home is proudly gun free", for the obvious reasons, yet the primary publication they pursue, saw fit to publish a list of names/addresses for registered gun owners.
