Givez us something!!! It's probably just my opinion, and one that is widely reviewed on my server to completely HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE, but = tank = gtfo my game. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why NINs would want to tank. You have no HP, you have no DEF, you have no means to keep yourself alive should your shadows fail. SE had a great concept with NINs as another front line support job, but the execution failed miserably. Those who play NIN usually do so with the idea of tanking, not for parsing damage like they could or should. Whether it was a player invention or somehow related to SE, the perversion of NIN to the role of tank is one of this game's cardinal sins. I have DD setups for NIN as well. As for frontline support, it would be ok.. not the best, I do like the enfeeble Ninjutsus. But honestly a good NIN can tank really well and that's why many people like it. If you don't get hit then low DEF and HP don't matter, which also mean less MP used by the mages. I do agree in many situations PLD is better though, but not all. But hey, if you don't like NINs then don't invite them as tanks.

When FFXI was released in NA, it was my intention to main NIN with RNG sub for throwing. I quit NIN when I was constantly asked to pay to exp through the use of Shihei. Fortunately the level I quit at happened to be 37.

yea ninja was introduced as a second puller/DD/enfeebler with PLD WAR MNK and SAM being the tanks. Players pushed all the others aside and made ninja a tank because of shadows. People dont like blood tanks anymore (usually because of lazy whms/rdms that dont want to work for their levels) The only reason PLD is still tanking is b/c it has some DD capability but not as much as the others and it is one of the few jobs that can utilize shield skill and their job abilities to not only keep hate but also greatly lower the dmg dealt to them.

That is all. blm and nin are the jobs that need it the most really, dont really see any reason mnk need an update? mnk is still awsome! nin is starting to get kinda useless, as there are tons of awsome pld\nin these days, and blm got owned when sch got T4 nukes. Those two need an update!

That is all. and blm got owned when sch got T4 nukes. BLM still are better for the nuking due to higher skill and seeing as how blm and sch get almost the same gear, there cant be a "well with gear sch can nuke better"

BLM does 1.2k Thunder 4 for 171MP, SCH does 1k Thunder4 for 85MP... >_>

true MP is an issue for blms especially if ur elvaan (like me) or galka, but most of the time we dont nuke straight anyway so we have time to rest and food/gear help with that too. Stack up on Mp recovered while healing and gogogog =P

That is all. MNK update would be nice (MNK is the first job I leveled and my favourite to play), but they did get Footwork not all that long ago.

lol some good input on this subject. Although Sch and BLM are evenly matched so if they did a update for blm i would like to see another spell like comet or something cool like that.
Tanks all around is a huge must, when you dont have a pld and you have a haste geared nin i would use that in a heart beat. Pld IMO is good against undead and HNMS (with - dmg gear) but then again you guys brought up a good point. But plds are getting shafted with JA's, if Nin got something else to help them do there job then dang it lets see it. They get stealth on traits..... ya whoopie lol.
On the Blu subject maybe a update to make there 2hr actually do something, and maybe more gear that can increase when learning. And ya i do agree thf + dual is almost a must but then you dont get to try out what else thf can do for subs.

i would much rather see anima brought in instead of bahamut or odin. knights of the round would be awesome too. yeah mnk got footwork in december or just before that, don't remember which. but its not that great unless you have your dune boots and ws dragon kick its dmg is kinda dumbed down, but even that doesn't compare to Asuran Fists

I think smn will actually get new avatar/s. At the same time blu get new spells probably. It won't be this update though. When the WotG end-game area comes out I reckon both these things will happen. (It's coming damnit!)

I believe you still punch with Footwork and Hundred Fists. Not 100% sure. As for jobs needing update... NIN big time Jubaki: Ni and some JA's prz. throwing WS be coool. More avatars would be nice. Edit** Something like Angon and Tomahawk for NIN w/ Shurikens and make Shurikens more readily available cheaper w/e let me utalize my A- Throwing :/... Also i agree THF getting a reduced Dual Wield be cool... let them get Dual Wield II @ like 55 and make Dual Wield 30 then they can sub other stuff lol... like /war or /drk for more dmg /rng for slug shot etc.(Personally fav if they get Dual Wield) NIN gets a new 2hr and makes Mijin Gakure like recast 1hr and give them something like...umm...i dont have an idea but really something new.

Ok i have been playing for three years now and IMO i would like to see the following.
Ninja: A few new job abilities and traits. Heck maybe a spell to get hate better.
Blue Mage: A more indacation on how to learn spells.
Summoner: More Perp cost - gear. Granted the new update for them was awesome i would like to see there per tick cost go down more.
Warrior: The old tank now turned massive DD ummm ya i decent update would help this job a bit.
Merits: I would like to see more of the traits be able to be merited like conserv Mp and Magic ATK bonus to be examples. Heck maybe lower the cost of the Call wyvern ability.
Spells: i would like to see Whm with more merited spells like Town teles would be sorta nice. Nin's should get Utu San os something new since they really need it.
Random things: Lol a new craft would be awesome or like a menu showing you the % on the directions and HQ and such.
I no this thread is pretty long and maybe rediculas but this is whay i think SE should update.
