Mantis. My hatred towards lottery spawn NMs, the number of MNKs running around with Empyrean H2H weapon, and a player named "Yaibazh" who refused to team up with me when he camped Intulo all forced me to consider Relic H2H instead (which I don't mind getting).

FINALLY clearing all the ToAU Missions, soloing some battles/Missions (Dynamis-Windurst, Windurst/San d'Oria Rank Missions), leveling Craft Skills.

Old ToAU content (Assault, original Nyzul Isle, etc.) that requires at least 3 people mainly because it's hard to find help for such content these days. Everyone's more focused on recent content like Abyssea, Voidwatch, and new Nyzul Isle.

As far as Jobs, I've seen a lot of BLUs running around in full Mavi Attire and Almaces. Makes me want to avoid getting an Almace and find some other armor for my BLU (*eyes Mirage Attire +2*). This also makes me either wish BLU could use Excalibur or I could get a Tizona someday... before the world ends.

Wished I won a either a Relic or Mythic, but I thought this year's 10th anniversary contest was decent.

I'd say NNI, because I've lost good runs due to shitty jumps, but on the inverse I've won runs I probably shouldn't have due to awesome jumps, so...

There are Dark Knights galore and Masamune SAMs as far as the eye can see.

I've heard about this job once called a "Red Mage" :o

I've lost on floor 100 of NNI with 10% HP or less on the NM a couple times... /sigh

I won absolutely nothing from Mog Bonanza... Not even a moogle rape suit :(

Solo Iratham on SMN.. probably not the most game breaking but was the most fun I've had in a while on the game. Before that was tanking Sobek on WHM while trying to raise the NIN.. goooood times.

- The battlefield you have done the most.
Celaeno. CAN EAT MY SHOES.

- Content in the game you really hate doing, but you do it anyway.
Leveling. For some reason I hate it now.

- The most helpful player(s)(or linkshell) you have done things with.
Done a lot with a lot of people on Valefor.. so all those people I've done stuff with.

- Your favourite job.
White Mage, with Summoner at a close second.

- The worst job you play for the sake of getting ahead.
Probably THF.. and it's not the best geared as well, lol.

- Those old pieces of gear you wish were not collecting dust in Storage or NPC.
Goliard set... Some of the Nashira Gear.. Sky Gear.. etc., etc.

- The most useless abilities that you want to use, but wastes your time.
Divine Caress and Sacrosanctity for WHM. The 1st never seems to work and the 2nd just never seems to have a good time to use for me when you get pummeled with magic.. but that's just me.

- The greatest accomplishment(s) of your year.
Gambanteinn for WHM. WOOT. That and Anhur Robe... EAT MY SHOES.

- The nerfs to the game you wish didn't happen.
Blinkers.. that and making Cure IV better to use than V in most situations.. they need to change it.

Voidwatch. EAT. MY. SHOES.

WHM bots, Ukon's, Kannagi's, BST all over, DRK and WARs, Ragnaroks, Apocs, SCHs and SMNs that now are rendered useless.

- Them jobs you very rarely see nowadays.
RDM, PUP, DNC, DRG, RNG. Also see a lot of people hide the fact they have BRD or COR for some reason...

- When you checked someone and thought... Wow, that weapon, wish I had that.
Yagrush. Time Sink. No thanks.

3/4 of the Pil I've done. Not kidding either.. /sad.

Should have made it so more than one person got a chance at relic/mythic/etc. *cough*
Make events give gil and/or other stuff that we can actually use?

My thoughts for 2013:
Waiting to see what the new 14 is like. Haven't had time to play like I used to sadly. SoA doesn't seem like it would do enough to get me to play like I used to since all my friends either quit/switched servers. So we'll see.

My best memory of FFXI this year was the 800 bucks I got for my account.

Best and Worst of ffxi @ 2010-2011

- The most enjoyable fight you have had.
I had a fun 10 second Kupo Fight VS. My BLU. Easily the greatest fun on FFXI thus far.
- The battlefield you have done the most.
Voidwatch... By far.
- Content in the game you really hate doing, but you do it anyway.
Voidwatch. Losing faith slowly, I can get Ganesha's Mala, Athos's Gloves, Coruscanti, but for the life of me, cannot get 1 Glowing Body, EVER.
- The most helpful player(s)(or linkshell) you have done things with.
Honestly, there's been too many people who have helped me, but most recently anyone who helped me get my first Empyrean Armageddon
- Your favourite job.
I have a multitude of favorite jobs, however, since my Corsair has an Empyrean I must choose my Corsair. Maybe soon I can get a Ukonvasara and stick with my WAR Main like I have since day 1 on FFXI.
- The worst job you play for the sake of getting ahead.
White Mage. Let's get something clear, I didn't even level the job to 99, my cousin did for me as a mule when I took a break. Now I'm forced to go WHM to a good portion of events.
- Those old pieces of gear you wish were not collecting dust in Storage or NPC.
Most of my gear that I don't use, I toss. However, I have kept my Hecatomb NQ Gear... in my storage.
- The most useless abilities that you want to use, but wastes your time.
I always found Counterstance really cool but really useless when you take double damage.
- The greatest accomplishment(s) of your year.
Most recently the amount of gil I've been making is insane. My greatest achievement was getting my Armageddon to 85.
- The nerfs to the game you wish didn't happen.
Chocobo Blinkers. Eventually SCH and SMN Embrava and PD, not looking forward to that.
- Content you want changed because it's unfair and purely luck based.
Neo-Nyzul Isle. When you clear 20+ floors and are only on floor 65-99 its frustrating beyond belief. I still don't have 1 NNI piece and I am considering buying pieces.
- The jobs, relics and empyreans you see all the time.
Kannagi, Almace, Ukonvasara, Verethranda, Armageddons... Ragnarok Spammage.
- Them jobs you very rarely see nowadays.
Red Mage and Puppetmaster. The two have been deemed completely useless by my standards.
- When you checked someone and thought... Wow, that weapon, wish I had that.
Ragnarok. Eventually I'll make a relic after 8 years of playing, its about time.

Neo-Nyzul clearing 22 floors and only on floor #67.
- Your thoughts on special events(Mog Bonanza etc.) SE have produced this year.
Don't pay attention to the events. However, I still need an Ark Scythe, means that NINs only missing Great Sword Red Proc!

Thoughts for 2013:
Real life comes before everything. With that said, I don't hold any expectations for 2013 in FFXI other than maybe a few more Empyreans and a Relic or two. I haven't really tried in the past.

- The most disappointing battle you should have won. - Being so n00b that I went into dynamis, got my my TEs, and died to some RNG mob.
- Your thoughts on special events(Mog Bonanza etc.) SE have produced this year. - Didn't get to participate in Mog Bonanza, but I've spent hours in goldfish fishing.

*Scholar is a popular job and actually used in almost all content.

*legion is an interesting fun event with decent rewards

*No Voidwatch for the last 3/4ths of the year. /fume and voidclusters make almost every voidwatch drop easily low mannable.

*SE brings back 2 of my favorite looking body armors (thaumas and morri) and makes them useful.


I give 2012 an 8/10

Eh, why not?

- The most enjoyable fight you have had. From this year, aside from dozens of lowman things, was probably beating 100F in NNI for the first few times.
- The battlefield you have done the most. Probably Akvan. Took hundreds to get my body, then after I get 4 more while my mules are still body-less.
- Content in the game you really hate doing, but you do it anyway. Dynamis can be boring, but I'm not sure I'd say I hate it.
- The most helpful player(s)(or linkshell) you have done things with. SSD, Runswithfafnirs is my favorite bestest half-person ever. Please don't /kick me!

More Bonanza's would've been cool. :( Glad they're bringing them back, though. I liked having no marbles that time around at least >_>

ADL (SMN is the most boring *** job on fights like this. Instead of gimping what we use to kill mobs how about you not make mobs that can oneshot people 50 yalms away SE)

Dont really care too much about the nerfs, but locking buffs nerf was the only one that really affected me. So i guess I'll say that

With RL starting to pick up more and more i just want to finish my kanna and mandau before i put down the controler for good. I am loving the game still but the time i need to devote is just becoming more and more unreasonable for my schedule.
