I'd be more concerned about how useful they'll make RNF itself. They only have 2 classes they consider tanks and they made one useful for some events and the other basically the same as DPS classes in terms of tanking ability.

Well, speaking purely about tanking and nothing else, if they fix the enmity system like they say they will, JA delay is less of a concern as far as losing hate goes. The problem I see is in concept...a RNF is about reducing magic damage...don't we already have Aegis to do that for us?

MDT is the easiest to cap. Shellra V alone is 27.34%, 29.29% if they have the augmented relic armor. Only need 22.66 / 20.71 in DT/MDT to finish capping it out. You can get 10% DT "free" without touching your major gear slots via Twilight Torque / Mollusca Mantle. Get a nice Dark ring or two and you've easily capped out MDT while being at capped gear haste.

PDT is a different story, without an Apoc your not capping PDT and haste, especially with being nerfed.

We need a "Magic Tank" about as much as we need another pet class.

The rewards ranking is incredibly messed up. Ridill next to mythics, *** empy gear in rank 2-3, single pulse cells, no abjurations.

At least if I get rank 4 I can get a wyrm bear. Must be awesome.

Generally agreed, the only possible exception being if RNF was able to give AOE magic protection that broke the MDT cap, which seems quite unlikely.

It may just be my shitty luck, but I kinda wanted W. Legs up there, haha.

Though, I have a better chance getting them off Kirin than winning above a Rank 4, lol.

I won't be surprised if they receive abilities that create Magic Shields and/or raise MEVA- both of which are things that go beyond the MDT cap.
