Best On Asura By Job

Asura is the only server I'd ever play on, I'll quit the game before I jump servers. Those of you saying Asura is full of selfish players have no idea what you're talking about, and those of you posting from other servers talking mess about Asura are just proof that *** exist no matter what server you're on.

I think you`ll find that a majority of the asshats on Asura have migrated from a different server. Ive been on Asura 6yrs and i`ve met some good players and some downright terrible players.

You can be excellent at your job but still be a complete asshat, does it make u the best? no

only one im even bashing on asura is korpg, for saying hes the best smn around there. because he posted a few screenshots of ***hes solo'd tryin to look cool, and no one has challenged his bold *** statements for some reason.. he OBVIOUSLY is the best. doesnt matter what server your on, nq average players who self proclaim themselves gods, or the best of any kind, should be called out and put in their place.

Your goal for SMN is one set of gear. If you're going to play SMN I would hope you have at least 7 sets of gear, hMP, BP-, Pet: MATT/MACC, Pet: ATT/ACC, Elemental Siphon, Idle With Avatar, and Idle Without Avatar.

As for BP- gear, full relic is all that is needed...

hMP gear is also what I use for my BLM, except I use Evoker's Doublet +1 instead of what I use for BLM (which also happens to be AF+1 body).

Any extra gear besides that isn't that useful >.> Well, YYR yeah for walking around without an avatar, but still, thats its only use >.>

Elemental Siphon gear is Summoning Skill gear which will double as Blood Pact: Ward gear. The higher your summoning skill, the more MP you get back, it also increases the cap on your Favors. You use the Blood Pact in BP- gear, then you switch into Pet: MATT/MACC or ATT/ACC depending on the ward that you are using. You can't be the "best" if you can't even understand the basics of what you should be using for the job.

You don't need a seperate set though.

And you don't understand that Summoning Magic skill does MORE than just Elemental Syphon and Blood Pact: Ward.

If you are going by wiki, then you don't understand the job itself.

Summoning Magic skill is like Weapon Skill + gear. It affects the Attack and Accuracy of your weapon, except for a Summoner, his weapon of choice is his avatars. More Summoning Magic skill increases the Attack and Accuracy of his/her avatars, and increases the accuracy and attack of his/her Blood Pact: Rages. And increases the Magic Attack and Magic Accuracy of his/her's Blood Pact: Rage Merits.

You can put all the skill you want on yourself, but it will kill your -perp gear also, so you can't have your avatar out for very long.

Summoner is basically a balance, you have to find your right balance.

You can have 317 skill (which works for full Avatar's Favor, and does a huge help for Avatar Acc/Att) with perp- gear that gives you free Fenrir/Garuda/Carby/Diabolos and -2 Ifrit/Shiva/Ramuh/Titan and as much MP as you can fill for the rest of the spots that you can't fill with perp- gear or SMN magic skill gear. That would keep your avatar out as long as possible, get as much mp back from Elemental Syphon as you can, and do as much damage as possible without having to have 50 inventory spots filled, which isn't possible to have nowadays with the need to have more than 2 jobs at 75 and decent geared.

Although I don't think you have SMN leveled at all either, which makes me think that you are placing your knowledge on wiki alone. Wiki isn't 100% right, I hope you realize this.

No it isn't from wiki alone, it's from helping multiple friends gear their SMN so that they could play it to their fullest. Yes I understand that Summoning Magic skill does more than just Siphon/Ward, but you're not going to just use one set of gear to do everything to your fullest, ***is situational. Every one of my jobs that I leveled (NIN SAM RDM) had 7+ gearsets, RDM having around 13 I believe. It's not very hard to have 7+ gearsets for a mage job, and I expected everyone I played with to have at least that.

None of you guys have an E-peen as big as mine. So stop measuring!

im going to go solo bones (again lol that you even think its a feat) tonight when i get home to post some screens for you. then im going to go solo somthing way harder, post more screens, and see if you can match ok ? and if you cant, i want to hear you say, wow, you were right and i was wrong. your not only able to do things i cant, but im rethinking my whole disposition on being god like, or even the best on asura.

stop trying to tell others how to gear smn, how to play smn, how to do ANYTHING with smn at all, when you so obviously dont know that much about it yourself. do you think that soloing anything that takes more than an hour is what makes you skilled too btw ? i cant figure out for the life of me what you think is so special about brazen bones..

You going to say that Auto-Refresh > Perp-2? Pet:Acc+15 is worse off than Avatar:Enmity? Or are you going to say that YYR has a hidden effect that makes all your avatars free with the Auto-Refresh kicking in?

Where is your source? Show me where SE said that, and I will appoligize and retract my statement. This is going by observations made by me during my many kills against Brazen Bones, first with 304 SMN magic skill, then with 309 SMN magic skill (after I got my SMN earring and SMN belt), then with my 317 SMN magic skill (after I finished my merits to 8/8). I have observed an increase of percentage of Brazen Bones's death for each time I use Sublimation (a good oberservation, since nothing besides Summoning Magic Skill changed between the kills).

When I first killed Brazen Bones, I had my 304 SMN magic skill, and each sublimation took off ~10% of Brazen's health, which I timed it to be roughly 2 and a half hour kill, which my best time was just under 2 hours.

After I increased my gear to 309 (thanks to my earring and belt) I noticed an increase to ~12-13% off of Brazen's health per Sublimation. At first, I thought it was just luck, since I didn't kill Brazen that much before I got 8/8 merits. But I did take note of that and I killed it in 1 hour and 45 minutes.

When I killed Brazen after I finished my merits, and got my skill at 317, I noticed an increased time of survivabilty of my avatars (they didn't die as fast per cast) and in some cases, Fenrir survived long enough for its recast timer to reset its 30 seconds, which I was able to recast him again instead of switching to Garuda. I truly believe that Summoning Magic skill attributed to this, since this was the only factor that has changed from all previous kills. I honestly think that SMN magic skill affects Att/Acc/Eva at least. Although I did not show my findings (because I still need to test this more) to others yet, these findings are all preliminary, so don't take this to heart. My last Brazen Bones kill took me 1 hour and 26 minutes however, so there is a strong correlation between the kills.

But don't take my word for it, test it yourself if you wish. Even if I have undeniable proof, nobody would believe me anyway, because of your previous biases.

So you know what, go ahead and call me stupid. I'm doing the testing, and I'm getting the results, and I'm doing the work. All any of you are doing is bashing me for stating what I do. Thats fine by me.

Tanbody, Okini, Axle (original one), Zekky, and Chanceikin.

Not really based off omgwtf gear, they're the nicest I've met so far.

Korpg, that is most likely more familiarity with the fight. My first Faust kill took ~1 hour 10 minutes, in the end it was down to ~25 minutes when none of my gear/merits changed.

and on yy v. rr.. in no way am i trying to discredit your coat, a lot of ppl do it, and its fine if you use it a lot that way. but -1 perpetuation is not worth wasting an augment on in MY opinion. you can say it is the ONLY way to go all you want, but most people will never in a million years even waste acp body on smn in first place. you however are trying to tell me that -5 bp timer, refresh effect, and + avatar enmity is worthless....

Towards the bottom of the page it says what Summoning magic skill effects. You can't claim something as fact just by eye balling. Thats where theres alot of moronic smns out there. GG ppl need to learn how to play their job.

The biggest issue I see in this game in general is nobody can say, "Hey dude; good *** job on that ***!" (That ***, being anything where the player has advanced themselves in some way.) Honestly.. can nobody else from Asura step and and point out a few ppl who have helped them out?
