Anyone have any experience with the sansa clip?

My Ipod stopped working in the left ear a long time ago, and this would be cheaper than fixing my Ipod, so it's now an option (since fixing the ipod was too much to be considered worth it at a repair store, and I would just break the thing beyond repair trying to do it myself)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16855125148&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL122012&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL122012-_-EMC-122012-Index-_-MP3MP4Players-_-55125148-L0J

Refurbed, but for only 20, may at least be worth giving a shot.

Reliable mp3 player? good sound quality? UI/Song navigation that doesn't suck?

It's a good MP3 player for the price, but it's a tiny screen.

Derp. Missed that.

My family has had sansa items in the past. I always found the UI to be a hassle to play with at first.

Potential deal breaker here, even with no sound in one ear, these apple earpod things make it easy to change the song while biking since I can do it with the headphones instead of having to take the ipod out of my pocket lol

We use this for our onhold music for some of our offices. Never had an issue with it. Can charge and play at the same time, has standard mp3 player features but it'll be a disappointment compared to a ipod touch as it is very low tier.

Menus aren't anything fancy, fully txt based and a very low resolution but, it does work and I don't recall it being any different from any other cheap mp3 player. Fully physical buttons so you could easily change songs so long as you know where the buttons are.

Here's the manual, might help you figure out if it has what you need.

I've had one of these for nearly two years and have no complaints. It's got a good sound quality and the UI is very easy to use. It's not fancy, as Sekundes said, but then it doesn't sound like you want fancy. One of the best things about them is their battery life: mine lasts for about 14 hours.

The only potential problem I can think of is the volume can be quite low if you're not using good quality head/earphones. Don't know how loud you like yours to be!

I have a 6th gen ipod classic(80gb) with a busted headphone jack, but don't want to spend the money fixing the headphone jack if the remote on the earpods aren't going to work (like changing the volume/songs with the headphones).

I know the remote portion of the headphones don't work with all Ipod models and was wondering if anyone knew for mine specifically.

I don't know if you ever got one Tiger (as I realize this is a necro) but I have one of these and am pleased (second one actually, I broke the first) I flashed it with rockbox though.
