I just spent 170M in 5 hours taking kannagi from 90>99, hope I dont get banned QQ

s.e wont banned you for taking items out out of the economy. they love their Magian Trials.

That's simple redistribution of gil, not taking it out of the economy. He obviously bought the plates/cinders (or dross idk which is for katana) from another player so that player(s) have his money.

OP's not being paranoid.

Unless everyone* is lying, SE has banned people for completely innocent activity, or activity that could easily be explained.

Perhaps this character has been offline a few months. So it comes back on, jumps servers, and offloads all its tradeables. While easily explained, stories from the past imply SE has and will ban for this.

* A lot of people are so indignant and self-righteous that, no matter how you view the use of third-party tools, they can't admit they broke the TOS and knew it was potentially coming. I'm sure we all know that most of the "I never did anything wrong" bans probably did several things 'wrong'.

I've quit for various periods of time ranging from 1 month to 1 year. I bet over the last five years I've traded over 500M back and forth between my main, 2 box, and then their respective mules (just traded, no bazaaring back and forth etc). I've never gotten a comment from SE. Not saying it doesn't happen. Just giving a testimonial that trading large sums of gil between characters that have had periods of inactivity doesn't automatically flag something.

I've server hopped 140mil before to buy Alexandrite and wasn't bothered by SE. As long as you're using an old account, I'm not sure they mess with you. Also, they might just be lazy.
I misunderstood kinda. Seconding this, trading is fine.

If you do decide to call a GM though, don't say like "my friend gave me his account and I don't want to get it banned when I take stuff off of it". Say "my friend wants to give me stuff". Actually giving away your account is against the ToS, and some GMs love accidental self incrimination.

"My friend who is quitting has agreed to give me his inventory of trade able stuff, I just want to ensure that this is fine and I will not be marked by the STF"

Gotta be careful how you word it, i've had friends banned over just ONE wrong word lol.

Contact GM and say that. Explain that your friend wants to give you all of his stuff before he quits, and you just wanted to make sure that it is okay and that you won't be flagged for the trade.

I remember a thread about this on the official forums before, though I can't remember if someone at SE ever responded or not. Just run it through a GM in game first, that way, it's documented that you talked to a GM about it in case your account does get flagged by accident.

The issue is trading it all at once. I believe at one point (when they limited the send amount through the mail), accounts were getting auto-flagged for gil transfers over a certain amount.

Do not do the 'bazaar a 100gil item for 30M' thing, that shouts "LOOK I'M RMT" almost as much as doing it on the AH.
Good advice was let a GM know what is going on, make sure they're aware that it's just a friend logging on to give you some stuff before they take a long break etc.

Alternatively, just give it all to me and i'll make sure you get it. Some day.

I agree with this, because bazaaring some worthless item for X millions of gil is a method already being used by rmts if you buy gil. At least I know that's how some of them did it not that long ago.

I think I'd call a GM if I was that paranoid about it.

Thank you for your two cents and taking the opportunity to mention you have me blacklisted. What a wonderful public service announcement. i can see the great importance as you have said nothing else in your reply. you could have at least explained yourself on your original quoted topic.

You now have a updated reason to blacklist me. :D you're welcome.

As for the topic at hand, i will reiterate what i posted in case anyone including Shipp(ou) did not understand.

I assumed that Curty was worried about his quick progress on his Emp. i didnt think he was worried about having spent or redistributed 100m+. Spending Gil in random bazaars on his server doesn't flag the STFU. however if he gained 100m+ thru random transactions it would.

Instead of commenting on something that seemed obvious to me. i chose to make simple joke about how S.E favors their magians trials. Reassuring him that spending the gil he earned was a good thing in s.e eyes and would not flag the stfu.

As for the OP. Call a Gm and have them assist you in the transactions. There is no need to worry or for mules and bazaar trickery. if they can help with a dynamis loan, i'm sure they can assist you in a 100m+ transaction. At the very least speaking with them will calm your own nerves and S.E wont look at you oddly. when you try something suspicious. Good luck.

People do ancient currency loans all the time. And 30 mil is likely not enough to be flagged. If you're that paranoid, either bazaar an item for 30 mil or buy an item for 30 mil and trade it to your main.
