Its very strange that you guys said build it, then I showed the prices, you say buy it >_<

$1660 and i can try to get that 5% off and free shipping so its like $1577 >.>
Gonna think about that for a week, gotta make sure I still have a job lol. (I work at CorusBank if anyone seen them in the news)

Hehe. Good luck on having a job. :P
Nope, haven't seen them in the news.

And generally... I haven't heard anything about 'custom' built sites using crap pieces instead of the 'name-brand' version. Everything in the PC I ordered was exactly as I requested. =)

AMD (Atlan spellcheck?) Processor recommendation. Intel Core is expensive, AMD is cheap, that's the only difference. Everything else is fine, Floppy is an old, but you might need it.

No reason you would ever need a floppy anymore. And tbh... If you compare an AMD system and an Intel system with the same benchmarking capabilities, you'll find the Intel is the cheaper build.
Sadly, that's just how it is lately and I'm even an AMD enthusiast.

I haven't had a floppy drive in 5 years lol

It's totally not needed.

And agree again with Tbest on AMD vs. Intel. I was an AMD fan for many many years, used AMD Athalon procs all through the P4 era, but this round goes to Intel. My newest build, with a Q6600, is smokin'...although after seeing the i7's, I feel inadequate lol

I'd be happy if AMD took the flag back, you generally got more bang for your buck with them. As long as it's like 3 years from now ^^

Ok ok, what you think?
$1,251 - 5% discount($62.55) + free shipping = $1,188.45

Dell gonna have a 23"HD monitor for $150 next week, was thinking of getting that.

Gonna download windows 7 and put it on there.

Also, the Graphics card, I purchased one from my previous post. That 1G ddr5 one for $125. Maybe I can sell the graphics card that I ordered with the pc.

Will get another hard drive in the future, the velociraptor. Gonna settle with the 1TB.

Might order this buy the end of the week.
Any comments?

Looks pretty good.

I'd get a full tower instead of the mid. Sure, it's a lot more to lug around, but the added space is nice imo.

Also... I'd see if you can get Wireless N instead of the G (and a router to match).

I didn't feel like I needed a N card for my pc. The internet is basiclly in my room where the pc is. For a laptop of course, I would get a built in N card, but not getting a laptop =P

Weren't you getting one custom built? And if you did get those three.. I don't think you can get the rest of the PC from that other site. You'd pretty much be locked into building it yourself. Now, some don't have a problem with that... But ya have to decide if that's what ya want.

The thought of building myself is still somewhat there, but only if it came out cheaper than the website I was looking at, and with this bundle, I might be able to make it cheaper.

And you didnt answer my question, is this a good deal I shouldn't pass up? >_<

Get two hard drives, not one. Two will allow you to make a dump drive, dump all your music/vids/porn/etc, then your OS running drive, OS programs, games

Yeah, it sounds like a good deal if you do want to build your own. And tbh for me... I just dump all of the 'non-essential' on an external HDD. Then you can take it with you easily.

No. Do not do that. Have two internal, one for OS one for a dump drive. If you put the stuff you download on one drive, it will begin to fragment. Even if you dump it to a external, you still originally put the data on that main drive.
If you wanted, the best way would be:
1 primary drive, less than 100 GB and as fast as you can get it. Raptors work well, 2nd drive can be as big as you want, 3rd, external as big was you want. Trust me it will save you loads of headaches!

*Shrugs.* I've never had any issues with my setup. Anytime my comp's on, the external's hooked up and I dl straight to the external. But I also do regular maintenance.
