I'm not really understanding all the hype over the CS. Seemed pretty generic in terms of Final Fantasy scenes, though a fair bit longer than they usually are.

It'll be nice to try 2.0 though.

It is Bahamut, they confirmed it in the Live letter

Bahamut was trapped by that same spell over a thousand years ago. Was summoned back by the Imperials via magitek. He came back with a vengeance! They failed on caging him again. He was just to powerful.

Let's hope that they dont make Bahamut a High Summoner summon. That mofo is just to strong. lol

I never said I didn't like it. I said I don't get the hype from people acting as if this is so different from typical FF cinematic scenes. I realize it's hell to like a game that's the "underdog" or that most people deem as horrible, but try not to assume that everyone who disagrees with hype over a single cinematic, in a 2+ year old game, falls in the category of hating the game.

Aside from being in HD and featuring main character NPCs in the cinematic, it's not that different from FFXI's opening. Hence my statement about not understanding the hype surrounding this cinematic as if it's some huge ground-breaking scene. Is it a good cinematic? Yes. I like the cinematic and want to see FFXIV succeed in 2.0, as I'm a legacy member and will hopefully be returning for the long haul. Is it also similar to other FF cinematics? Yes.

Lol. Yoshi has definitely turned the game around for the best, that's for sure. I don't really buy into the theory that Tanaka created all the "horrible" though. Tanaka got removed from XI, and more "Tanaka-ish" decisions have been made since his leave. He seems more like a scape-goat than anything, though I'd be lying if I said I never used him as a scape-goat for irritating mechanics.

I miss FFXIV already >.<

Not gonna lie, I dropped XIV a while ago so I'm not 100% sure of what happened. But I'm assuming SE decided XIV just wasn't moving along so they added meteor to the story to pretty much destroy the world and do a newer, hopefully better, version of the game?

Also that War..he was raping ish. Gotta invite him to my Abyssea party to Fell Cleave stuff.

Only ppl that played till the very end and servers were shut down and got done with all the missions leading up to that event CS has and understands that hype ..if you weren't there your opinion flies off the window it was a huge "Oh ***!!" moment

While I never played MNK personally, every one of my linkshell mates that main MNK were beasts. But I suppose they only picked 5 jobs for 5 races. :/ Kinda glad we're getting male miqo'te in 2.0.
