I have Goldsmithing @ 100 and as the genius I am, I thought I could have both Cooking and GS @ 100. So when I turned in the Item quest for cooking @ 80 and chose it as main, GS went down to 70.

So my Question is, how can I go back to making my GS @ 100?

Account reversal is possible with GM, Contact them right now. If that doesn't satisfy you, contact a Higher GM. DO this in games. Having not lvl crafts, was there not some sort of in game warning you chose to ignore?

I wouldn't tell them you want it reversed because you made a mistake...

They will not help you because of that :\

Wait, they actually help players with dynamis trades now? All I ever heard was "we're sorry but we don't care", I guess that changed.

Why would you do this OP? /comfort. I've not seen anywhere where it says we definitely could get 2 100's (fishing excluded). You get 1 110 and the rest you can take to 70. Hope you get your stuff fixed.

Think only a GM can reverse this... I know Goldsmithing sucks so I feel your pain.

I did same but with Smithing (89) - deleveled it back to 70.

I did several gm calls and they were unable to do anything, even sgm.

I had a friend of a friend type deal with the exact same craft a few years ago who did the same thing. The only thing you can do is call the SE support center and tell them you were account compromised today and you want a roll back to a few days ago. Bear in mind if you don't have a security token you will only get 1 roll back request so you will be wasting your roll back should you be hacked in the future.

GM's won't be able to do anything in game for you regarding this. A roll back is your only option. I heard by rumor that if you are hacked/compromised WITH a security token on your account that you are not limited on the number of roll backs since they guarantee your security.

In either case where did you get the bright idea you could do two 100 crafts lol. Good luck though.

EDIT: Also bear in mind if they do a roll back it can take up to 3 months and they will disable your account while they investigate it.

I agree with Calnus, I think that would be the only way for you to recover those levels.

Also, the community reps bringing up the idea of 2 100 crafts months ago must of got stuck in peoples heads I'm sure, even though they decided to instead raise the caps to 110.

I'm not sure getting back 30 levels~ of goldsmithing would be worth up to 3 months or more of deactivation and investigation though. Not to mention any noteworthy achievements in the past week or more could be jeopardized and lost in the roll back.

I can't speak for everyone but in 3 months most people could spam dynamis and make over 100 million gil easily. I don't know how much GS costs from 70-100 but you have to weigh your losses versus time.

It's a crap situation but I think you just might have to eat the mistake unless you do the aforementioned rollback. I do still recommend talking to a SGM about it because things are always changing. Apparently now you can separate a playonline ID and move it do another Square Enix account. Someone I know and speak to on Ventrilo just had this process done and the woman who filled out the info over the phone said it was a new process.

Could always make a 2nd character built just for dynamis and other gil making stuff while you wait for the character to be restored.

If it's a new process, then it's been new for nearly as long as SE accounts have been out. My brother quit years ago and I acquired his account and I placed him on my SE ID to get a satchel. When he came back, I had my brother's POL ID moved from my SE ID to a new one. Took a lot of work and many calls to get them to do it but eventually I got someone with a brain and they took care of it and sent out a new token for the new SE ID.

Well I guess this is a sign for me to take smithing to 100, since it's been on my mind for 2 months now. Due to the fact that Goldsmithing being dead I always wanted to take smithing to 100 but never was 100% sure since I couldn't bare seeing my GS drop down to 70.

Thanks everyone for the reply's though. I guess I'ma level Smithing to 100 now.

been thinking of having this done, as I have all 3 of my current accounts on 1 SE account, and if I want other people to use one I don't want to give them my SE info...

I did something similar long ago on an alt when the cap was still 100.

I thought one could take two crafts to 80. And having cooking 70++ would help fund my Goldsmithing to 80++ before I deleveled cooking. But trading the Guild item to lift the L 70 cap on her Goldsmithing INSTANTLY deleveled her Cooking to 60. And blue to boot.

But I didn't peruse a rollback.

Nor have I EVER cooked another colored egg. Maybe next Easter...

Best wishes....

You could have two crafts to 80 at the time. When you traded the guild item, you weren't supposed to agree to revoke the other craft.

I thought this was in the works and then it was decided for now that it was not going to be implemented. I'm on my phone or I'd look around for it. I'll come back after I get onto my PC. That totally sucks about the Goldsmithing though man, in my opinion I'd choose Smithing over Goldsmithing anyday. Only thing off the top of my head I can see is Geodes to Gems and maybe O.Ingots and/or then into sheets. Good luck with whatever you do though! Best wishes! /Comfort

That's it here. I haven't seen confirmation anywhere where it says it's not going to carry out.
