Need Help With ClickandBuy Bank Wire Trouble

For about a year now, I have been having issues with ClickandBuy. I had an accidental lapse in payment and then they closed down my account and then told SquareEnix to terminate my account.

So, I contacted SquareEnix, and they said they would restore my account if I paid them back. Not easy.

ClickandBuy will only allow me to pay back my $13.95 debt if I do a bank wire transfer. I been calling them several times because they are missing one crucial amount of information. I know that you have to have a beneficiary and I have that information. There is also a bank account number that is needed for the bank, but I need the actual account number for ClickandBuy.

I have called over 20 times because the wire transfer will not go through. Since they are from the UK, they claim they do not know the US banking system and refuse to help me since they do not have the information.

Did anyone ever have to go through this? I need serious help because I am getting nowhere and SquareEnix is not able to assist me. I want to play the game, but ClickandBuy are jerks.

I actually have no issue except the fact that they are not able to provide me the information I need in order to wire them money. I even called Northern Trust Bank, their bankers, and they legally cannot give me the account number to send the money to. This is odd because they say that the people from ClickandBuy definitely gave me incomplete information. They should want this money; I do not know why they are making it difficult for me, unless they are sadistic.

why use click and buy? just use crysta via paypal or do direct CC transactions...

This incident happened before Crysta was even an option! I was unfortunately stuck with using it.

why do you owe click and buy any money at all?

if the funds were insufficient, did you ever receive any services for that 13.95?

call square enix back, keep asking for supervisor?

I used Ultimate Pay to buy crysta after I switched pretty quick to SEAM when it came out. It's shut me off many times but never got banned for it... same with auto CC payment setup they have now

Can somebody tell me if they ever had to wire money to them?

The moment I had a very simple issue that were very easily fixable with C&B (but to them, it was very hard), I discarded my account and went with the other option.

Just go with another option and listen to the masses.

I want to go with the other option, but my SQUARE ENIX ACCOUNT IS TERMINATED UNTIL I PAY CLICKANDBUY BACK.

The problem with the wire is that I need a specific bank account number for ClickandBuy. I have the Bank Account number. However, the problem is that when I call ClickandBuy they claim that the information I have alone will work. It doesn't at all. When I ask them about the number, they claim they don't know what that number is because they don't know the American banking system. They are ALL VERY UNHELPFUL.

I want my account so I can run away from ClickandBuy!

How do you owe them money and then they force close your account? SE's guidelines state that after your first payment, you pay in advance to have services rendered. However, you're not having any service so what are they exactly making you pay for in return?

Anyways, I would contact SE and talk to them in reinstating your account with another service because you are being stonewalled by C&B. I'm quite sure SE will gladly take your payment some way or another since "bank wire transfer" seems fishy to begin with.

I did contact SquareEnix to see if they can help me this afternoon. They are not able to intervene with my payment problem. They no longer handle payments.

The problem is that my mom was the one with the credit card. My mom saw a charge she claimed she didn't recognize and called her credit card company to cancel the charge. ClickandBuy immediately closed my account after and got my SquareEnix account terminated without any warning. I just got an e-mail saying that I need to pay back the debt or else.

This is a real brick wall. I'm trying.

SquareEnix did tell me that once I paid ClickandBuy, I'll get my account back.

Well, what you need to do is contact C&B, get exactly the correct wire transfer information and then get your mother's bank to transfer the money because what they are doing is trying to verify that the payment is coming from a real/correct source since your mother inadvertently threw the red flag up.

State that you have the money and is 100% willing to send it and that you need to know exactly how. Also, state who's account it is. You're going to have to get your parent involved with this so the whole thing can go smoothly. If anything, have your mother speak to C&B since it's her card number to get the correct wire transfer information.

That's all you need to do.

EDIT: Also, do this as quick as possible. C&B has time limits.

They will accept the money whenever I can get it. SquareEnix will unban my account once they get it.

We cleared the credit card issue already though. The money will come through just as long as we find a way.

The problem is ClickandBuy is SO unhelpful! I'm going to harass them all day today.

Definitely dude! I'm just hoping somebody here will post and give the vital information to help me fulfill my quest! Because quite frankly Aeilius, I been doing this for about a year unsuccessfully. The SquareEnix Customer Service Reps actually feel really bad too. I want to solo on Beastmaster again. Seriously. I'm NEVER EVER using ClickandBuy again.

Well, that sort of information that C&B has to give to you is information that is suppose to be secret. That's probably why they are hesistant and I'm wondering why they won't accept another form of payment... wait, maybe that's the answer.

Go to walmart. Buy a prepaid card. Use that card to pay off the 13.95 and drop them like a bad habit. I think they just want to verify that first card since they probably can't use it.

Well, if its closed and been a year, you most likely will have to start over. Just go to SE and get another keycode and start fresh... hopefully, you don't have to do too much to get back where you were.

If you're still stuck, I might be able to ask an actual bank cashier to give me a printoff of that transaction (account numbers, sort codes etc).

While I'm not going to defend Click&Buy, you're still at fault as you chargebacked a legitimate payment. You should really accept the strong possibility that you will not get your account back. Most of SE's reps will tell you anything and rotate blame just to keep their average call length down. The systems in place to communicate between C&B and SE are poor at best, and at worst, well.. did you ever play telephone?

There is some good advice in this thread, but the bottom line is that if you want to resolve this through C&B you need to escalate. Ask for supervisors, ask for the manager, ask for ANYONE higher up. Demand the information you need to pay them back. After doing that, hope that they actually inform SE and SE actually cares.. because this doesn't seem like it'll be automatically reinstated.

I don't know what you expect to happen. All advice has already been posted. You just now have to decide the best action to take. No sense in beat this dead horse when your account might not even be there anymore.

I'm going to bump this because maybe somebody else might have insight! What do I expect to happen? I expect to get my account back with the right information. My account still exists. I just need the wire to get it back. I talked to SquareEnix very recently about it.

The only thing i can think of is that they don't want to work with you because of that chargeback.


you can try getting a money order or something and mailing the exact amount out to them. that way you don't have to go through your mom's account (which since it's been blocked , they probably won't accept any payments or debits from that account anymore)

so solution : use a different money account.


btw, if you don't get your SE account back, you are probably going to be forced to use crysta as the payment method anyways, since your mom forced that chargeback.

and honestly don't blame your mom, C&B is pretty shady, they easily could have put something that gave her some warning flags in the debit description lol.

if you are olde enough you can try getting your own account as well, i know plenty of banks like to do student programs (free debit/savings thru college etc)


I've had my own bank account since i was 16 lol.


edit - just thought of another possible alternative

you could try signing her bank account with paypal , and using that to pay off the charge. paypal will act as the middle man and shouldn't flag anything on either accounts. but probably not worth it to do that annually lol.
