Went to Koizi again; pushed myself to the limit this time. Only made it 2 bites into my ice cream and one of the 2 piece of fried dough.

Also, lol I heard a rumor that they get their chicken nuggets from McDonalds in the same lot. Ordered that and the ***is true lmfao. Tastes exactly the same, so I told the waiter I liked the chicken nuggets and he said "Yea, they're way better than McDonalds" and I've never had to try harder to hold back laughter almost spit food all over the place

Stop it, Liels! This is the second time I've seen your tantalizing, moist, delicious pumpkin bread.

You need to email it to me, or we will have a war break out between Idaho and Arizona: Potatoes vs. Republicans.

But that won't give me noms! Create iTaste plox.

Also, for contribution, though I didn't take a picture of it, I had stuffed peppers with turkey and fennel with a side of quinoa and watermelon. Very healthy.

Even harder if you eat lots of calorie-dense nuts! :p Those are like 700 calories per cup.

Good thing I only eat a few at a time! :P

I just eat 5 or 6 of them to tell my body "you're eating something, snack desire - fulfilled"

edit: And according to the packet and the internet, idk what kinda cup sizes you have in the US,but this is 550 calories per 100g,and a cup is 1/4 of that! :P

One cup of whole cashews (those are cashews, right?) is about 140 grams. 1/4 of a cup would be about 35 grams.

Yeah raw cashews. This entire pack is 150g and on the back it reads "1 cup,28g = 154 calories" "550 calories per 100g" And either way,I only eat 5 or 6 at a time,to make my body stop craving intake.

American portion sizes strike again?

It's always important to go out of your way to insult Americans when discussing portion sizes.

Anyway, I don't have any cashews on hand so Almonds will have to do.

Calibrate:

~28g of almonds:

Clearly less than 1/4 of a cup:

Or you could just, you know, search the internet.

Seems our cups are very very different then. Anytime I've seen cups of nuts sold here, the cup is big enough for maybe 15-20 nuts, possibly less. They are tiny little plastic ones here.

Regardless of what you and I both count as a "cup" based on what we actually use or what we go by from the back of the packet,I still only eat 5 or 6 at a time.

tl;dr cups are different all around the world

My rice cooker cup is slightly bigger than a cup for nuts here,28g of cashews.

That is a pretty wild difference, but I can't make it add up with the cup wikipedia page, which has the US legal cup being less fluid ounces than both the metric cup and the imperial cup. What does Italy use?

I've no idea,I'm Irish.

Edit to add on to the joke/sarcasm-ish part:

I think I'm seeing the difference though. Here we basically have a "nut cup" (inb4jokes) which is seperate from messuring cups, drinking cups, mixing cups, etc and is only used in selling/serving nuts.

The pics you posted I assumed were of a "US nut cup" because I thought it'd be a worldwide type of cup,not just an Irish thing.

I always thought a cup was 250 ml everywhere, didnt know people use their own and it's different by 10 or 20 ML like the states or japan, weird lol

Here in baking and things like that it's pretty much on the ball from what Suji linked, because it's a standard measuring cup. I guess the nut thing is just a cultural thing.

yeah that sounds pretty stupid quiz. like if canada said "you know what? we love maple syrup lets all announce "1 cup of maple syrup is actually 361 ml, instead of 1 cup of everything else being 250ml. do it!"
and every recipe says
"1 cup of flour
2 eggs
2 cups of water
1 cup of maple syrup /wink"
or some crap

(also josi, for baking and cooking, they give nuts here by weight in receipes)
