I thought you vanished elana :O! I smoke pot everyday but you would be stupid if anyone ever said inhaling smoke of any kind was good for you, Its common sense. Eating is a whole 'nother debate. I believe that MJ is mostly good for you if you were to take the smoke and detriment effects on your lungs out of the picture. I just cant see where weed, that can help so many people with glaucoma and those other diseases, could harm people. Plus zero people have ever died from overdosing on it and i mean ODing as in drinking too much alcohal.
Of course... if you take all the bad things out of something then it would be mostly good for you lol...

Because a spelling error made by a pot head is evidence that smoking pot makes you stupid.

I'm on quite a few forums, and this topic rears its head on nearly all of them. The other forums have a much higher concentration of pot smokers, and terrible spelling or sub 3rd grade grammar are typical; common, if you will. It was not just Feisei's one post that has led me to that conclusion, but an extensive number of examples from multiple people across various demo-graphs.

Also, they discuss absolutely HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE topics quite often. I do not see the same trait in the non smokers.

Well I'm high at the moment so you may want factor that in. I've been an everyday smoker for probably 8 years (last few years have been spotty at best) and I'm not stupid.

I'm willing to bet most of the people you are basing this on are the same ones who even while sober would add hash tags onto their Facebook (even though they don't even use Twitter) updates and use 'text speak' even on a computer.

Didn't say you were stupid. I've seen quite a few logical discussions out of you. I would say that anyone that has habitually smoked the stuff has lost brain cells in the process. Same thing for people who sniffed markers every day while they were in school.

Point being- cannabis has negative, permanent effects.

This thread makes me miss college and high school so much!

The interior designer wants a mural?!? There's only one I can think of...

When is 'Fear and Loathing' going to be added to the recommended reading list?!? This is bat country, folks!

I really need to stay off this thread.

Well, there are different variations of weed that cost different prices.

I've yet to see any solid proof of it killing off and permanently damaging braincells. It killing brain cells is just one of the many things the propaganda constantly claims.

Smoking it, yes I will absolutely give you that it has permanent damaging effects, especially considering this is by far the most common method of use. A decent vaporizer is/can be 2-300 bucks easily, that really limits who can and will own one. Cooking it is not really conventional on a small scale.

Someone has probably said this by now but If this proves true and weed can increase your risk for testicular cancer; Smoking cigarettes still increases your risk for hundreds of types of cancer. Seems still the lesser evil
Hundreds of types? ok... lol...

This thread isn't about the lesser evil or making people feel ok about their habits... or that their habit is better than someone elses lol... It's about a study done that links the use of marijuana to testicular cancer... yes smoking can lead to cancer... alcohol can lead to liver issues... there's really not a recreational drug out there that won't cause you some harm if you abuse it lol... jeebus!

Granted I don't know ***about weed or about its costs but... it seems like it would be really expensive to smoke every day for 8 years straight lol... anyways I would go on but it would probably get personal lol and Idc enough about this to deal with it atm...

See I don't see what the deal is about people researching the side effects of substances? As a consumer don't you want to to know ALL the side effects of products you buy?

The way I see it Victoria Cortessis is helping weed users to make more informed decisions on whether they want to purchase weed or not. She is also helping doctors give their patients better information.

Hypothetically, lets say your already at high risk for testicular cancer. Why would one really want to do anything to contribute to an already high risk factor?

from past experiance, you could stay stoned all day, everyday, for roughly 200$ a month. that's easily. if you were a determined stoner, you could do it cheaper.

200$ is nothing. I spend that on whiskey & ciggerettes, daily.

Personally, if I had a pre-existing hearth problem or family history of heart disease. Yes I would.

I love meat don't get me wrong. But I wouldn't want to jeopardize and already existent health problem.

That's kinda irrelevant. Don't you want to know the risk factors of substances/food you put into your body?

people do things all the time that put them at risk. there is a fine line of "avoid at all costs" versus "live a little" or you can be someone like me that just doesn't give a *** etc young and irresponsible Imagine if a doctor said right now "btw dairy or meat? They increases your risk of heart disease 20% more than the average person; you'll live longer if you avoid them completely." Would you stop eating meat and dairy for the rest of your life? I'm betting some would just say *** it and enjoy a steak every now and then
I think you missed Bacon's point entirely... all he's saying is that it's good to be informed about what you're doing before you make the decision to do it... not advocating for or against... just being equipped with the knowledge to make an informed decision...
