Nope.

We'll also be losing 100 inventory and 50 from each retainer sometime (I forget when, think it's with 2.0), I assume we'll be getting some other form of storage when that happens though.

Inn have storage for AF and type items in 2.0 yes like kin said we be losing some inventory but we also later on when they release it there be a chocobo tree like system and you can grow a chocobo for something you want like Healer,Attacker,Tank and pack mule. Seeing how we can use them in battle now and they will take a spot in your party list.

But you can take care of a pack mule chocobo that would hold more item for you and you can summon them to get item you need and put stuff away so there you go :)

The invantory we are losing will be made up by the fact that none of the gear equiped to any of our item sets (mannequin system) will take up any space.

Orly? I've never heard of this before. Only the Tank/Healer/DPS chocobos.

it's going to take a while but yoshi-p said it many time the tree follow tank, healer, dps but there also a way to get a pack mule which can hold items for you.

I'll update this when i find the link.

Finalfantasy14.eu :
Speaking of chocobos, are you considering introducing in the future a breeding system, as we’ve already seen in former final fantasy?

"Naoki yoshida :
Yes, we are planning to. We are thinking of all the different possibilities for example maybe fat chocobo that can keep items for you, or maybe a strong chocobo that is really good at fighting and we don’t really have a focus on its speed only because if we do make it the main focus people will only want chocobos for speed and we want players to raise their chocobos for different purposes.

Maybe it will be interesting to have a chocobo that grows by eating materias. So lot of potential."

cool, just something I missed. didn't know he stated that, but that'd be cool if something like that happened.
