Consider how much skin they are showing on most of her outfits thats not likely. They don't seem to be into being classy in terms of most of their outfits.

Just started watching the intro they have released, why was she wearing sunglasses at night? Shes standing there basically watching lightning, in all honesty it makes at least a little sense, make it a bit less horribly blinding.

This is quite perplexing. I'm still on the fence about this game but the battle system looks incredibly promising.
Now if they can only match this with a non linear world and character depth. Even as a test, if this works, perhaps they can use it as a template for the next couple of titles.

Minor info
Quote: Square Enix have announced that Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will not feature a vocal theme song. Instead, composers Masashi Hamauzu, Naoshi Mizuta and Mitsuto Suzuki shall co-compose an orchestral piece for the game's finale. The composers said that they felt a vocal theme song would be less personal than a specially composed musical piece.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13, Super Mario 3D World Debut Poorly in Japan
Pokemon, meanwhile, surpasses 3M sales.
by Mitch Dyer
November 27, 2013
Both Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Super Mario 3D World debuted in Japan to low sales figures this month. Media Create (via NeoGAF) lists Lightning Returns, with its 277,000 sales, as outselling Super Mario 3D World, which only made its way up to 99,500 units sold. Meanwhile, Pokemon X/Y crossed 3 million Japanese sales.
This is indicative of declining sales for Square Enix, whose Final Fantasy XIII-2 sold less than half of Final Fantasy XIII's 1.5 million in their respective opening weeks. By comparison, New Super Mario Bros. U outsold Super Mario 3D World in about the same amount of time, soaring above 200,000 sales in its opening weeks.
Perhaps Lightning Returns will have a stronger opening in North America when it releases on February 11, 2014, and in Europe on February 14.

Some other news stories "claiming" that the ending destroyed both the series and the franchise.
I'll still play it, it's more likely that a negative opinion will come out than a positive one, especially how people treat the games.

Wouldn't say just the ending >.> but each game went from one extreme to the next, but it does fill a lot of plot holes.

I think FFXV will turn things around if this is good or bad either way. Kingdom Hearts is great, and from what I understand the gameplay will be very similar to Kingdom Hearts, the biggest flaw in KH right now is the issue with its story and the handhelds, but with KHI.5/KHII.5 they are mostly fixing that, so they are clearing up the one thing that sucks about the series.
If FFXV can mimic the battle system of KH, it will go great, the only issue at that point is the existence of FFXIII and the effect it had on the name as well as the effect FFXIV had, they tried to change things too, it went bad, they are changing it again but this time to a formula they see works in another set of their games, and that's why I think it will work.

FFXIII wasn't all that bad imo.
FFXIII-2 I haven't finished (kept trying, couldn't keep my interest or something else came up that peaked my interest), so I don't know that ending yet...

Glad to see this crap filler game was rejected by the Japanese. Now if it would just come out here so it can go away forever and we can focus on better final fantasy games.

14 is now their leading mmo by far(way more subs and at a higher price), 11 is just still in the profit, but if 11 was to tank it would prolly work out for the best seeing that it would increase 14's subs.
imo 14 has all their best devs, while 11 keeps the ones that aren't good enough yet lol.

Square Enix Teases More of "Final Fantasy XIII" Lightning Saga
"A storm gathers" with a reveal planned for September 1 at Shibuya event
Joseph Luster
August 22, 2012 11:15am CDT
Square Enix is teasing the next step for the story of Final Fantasy XIII's Lightning, which came to an end with May's Final Fantasy XIII-2 add-on, "Lightning Story: Requiem of the Goddess." Despite the DLC's conclusiveness, a new teaser site promises a reveal of "the new direction for the saga of key character, Lightning."
As the site says, key members of the FFXIII development team—including the Producer, Director, and Art Director—are preparing a presentation that's set to take place at a Final Fantasy 25th anniversary Gallery event in Shibuya, which will be held from August 31 through September 2.
The FFXIII presentation itself is going down on September 1, so we'll have to wait until then to find out what Square Enix has in store. Are you ready for more of the Lightning Saga?

The latest issue of the Japanese edition of Shonen Jump has treated its readers to a shot of the new look for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII's titular character.
A trailer is promised for the 2013 edition of the magazine's annual Jump Festa event.
