We dropped a hint previously that we were working on a Mog House decoration contest. While the official announcement is not quite yet, I figured I would let you all know ahead of time what we have planned, so you can start getting your houses in order.
The theme for this contest is "staying cool in the summer heat."
We’ll be asking you all to decorate your Mog Houses following the theme, taking screenshots, and posting them up on the forum in the contest thread. We’ll be requiring that one or more of the below furnishings be used, as they represent wind and water (summer time cool!).
We will be awarding winners with the below new furnishings:
Our idea is to continue holding Mog House decoration contests in the future, but changing the theme each time. We’ll be announcing the official details and schedule soon, so please look forward to it!

Please use at least one of the below furnishings to express wind and water:
Entries are limited to one per person. In the case multiple entries are submitted, only the first one will be accepted.
You can submit up to five screenshots in your entry. Make sure to have /names on in the first screenshot and that your character and Mog House is clearly shown. Please use the "[HB]" tags to hide your second image and on images.
Once you have submitted your entry, you will be unable to edit your post.
During the judgment period, there may instances that we log in to check your Mog Houses layout. Therefore, we ask that you not change the layout of the Mog House once you have submitted and maintain it until the winners are announced.
We have created a practice thread for entrants to check that their images are posted and organized properly. Please use the thread here to confirm that your image uploading process is okay before actually submitting your entry to the entry thread.
The Development and Operations Team will be selecting winners.
Winners will be announced on the forum on Thursday, September 27.

I personally am very happy to see that they are doing this.
I know that a lot of players enjoy decorating their Mog House, so I think this will be a fun event for these dedicated players that sacrifice inventory space to have some fun.
I would like to actually see some of the entries when the contest begins, it's always fun looking at what others come up with :)
I think this might be a ploy to advertise furniture buying and then they'll release new furniture just to cut whatever you spent on your furniture by 80%.
Be sure to send them a picture with all your windower plugins and other 3rd party tools!

my house used to be pimpin' but due to the lack of inventory/storage space and SE's reluctance to increase it, no1 will ever see my layout...there's no way i can pull out 80 pieces to decorate.
I only see these post at work. LOL and of course dont carry my Secure ID to log into the SE web site. I did enter last year but I think the xbox pics just are not as nice as a PC user. I cant get a wide view perspective.
Anyway Check these. Im 90 woodworking and 80 synergy so anything not quest related I made myself and with 13x 99 jobs I still refuse to have anyting but a pimp pad.
AND I Should at least get kudos for the Chess set made out of bonanza statues :)

Meh there is nothing wrong with windower in and by itself. It's all the additional stuff you can get for it that are the questionable things.

I would submit mine... but its not really a summer theme lol! Its packed full of Bookshelves... so I will be waiting on the 'studious' theme lol.
Ooh, I like the bookcase on the left there. Then again, I already have three bookcases in my mog, and I wouldn't redecorate just for one contest, I like it too much as-is. But I do fulfill the requirements I suppose, I have all the fishtanks, a leaf bell, and a cricket cage. I'm not sure whether or not I should enter.
