He/She had a picture of this really dumb, and ugly *** named Nicki Minaj. How she is famous still perplexes me. If you want a great example of what you can come to expect from her work, just go youtube "You a stupid hoe." It really is the song of the decade.

I personally love the challenge of this item. I think the difficulty compared to the power of the cape is spot on.
i might be inclined to agree if it was difficult, rather than simply time consuming and 99% luck.

Making a mythic has driven him insane. D:
It's funny though, the only thing that ppl *** about as much as this cape is how hard it is to make a mythic, and that's near the exact opposite in terms of there is no luck involved and its just plug away at it forever.

Put simple, this fish isnt worth a fisher's time. Fish Hakuryu = 1 to 1.5mil a day (assuming you dont have 2 chars like most people that fish do). If it take you 2 weeks to get this cape, that is at least 14 mil lost. That gil could of went to whatever craft you were skilling up. With 2 chars you are looking at a min of 28 mil lost. Best case for the fishers is you will break even and go through hell to do it.

Do you remember the update that added the ZNM trophy stage? There used to be some luck involved.

Why do people come here and keep spewing bulls***. If you do it yourself it doesn't cost you anything. Not everyone is fishing up haks 24/7. 14 mil isn't even alot of gil

I would like to know how this is BS? I talk to a lot of the people fishing haku and they at least pull up 100 fish a day. No one's main fish's. Almost everyone has their mule do it so they can stay there longer. Also I am happy you are so rich that 14mil is nothing to you. You can do your crafts then with all that gil and not worry about the cape. And you say it doesnt cost you? You fish up cave's, that means you dont fish up haku. This = loss.

It cost me over 2.5mil to get 103-104 WW and wood is one of the cheaper crafts, then from 108~ looking at doubling that cost per level. Even for someone like me who doesn:t have to do anymore subcrafts I would call it worthwhile if it helps in anyway. Not to mention for looking to the future if they raise caps to 80/120

I agree it prolly will be worth while if the cap rises. My main point is (at least on my server) not 1 person fish's. Everyone has at least 2-4 chars doing it. I dont know about other servers. So most fishers are looking at the 28mil loss rather than the 14mil loss. 1 fisher would prolly be helpful to get that cap. personally if I saved 5 mil by getting the cap, I would rather spend the 5 mil to not go through the hell of fishing it lol.

1) Increase Crafting Caps
2) Add another item that increases skill gain rate
3) Make the item effects non-stackable (hi2u rancor items!)

It's worth it for a fisherman to gut Matsya for a cape to progress their own craft. It's not worth it for a fisherman to try to sell Matsya for other crafters to gut.
They sell too slowly or not at all, in some cases to be more efficient than Haks.
If for some reason other people are selling Matsya, a smart fisherman who is trying to get the cape will buy out all the 500k Matsya. All the crafters can *** moan and cry about that actually cheap price.

For anyone who cares or is keeping track, (I cant remember my BG login to update there, I don't post much there either)...
I'm now 0/87 on this. I've fished up prob 78 of those and bought 9. I'm really looking forward to this cape, but I'm getting incredibly frustrated in the process!

Opportunity cost.

No, because the cape to some is worth more than the "lost money" you would have made if you didn't fish haks for a week or two. There are better ways to make gil

Haven't the ppl buying fish thought that the cape will be 100% useless once u cap anyway? Not including the cost of skilling up

Uh, that's not what I'm arguing. He said it's free if you do it yourself.
If it takes you 14 days you would otherwise spend fishing haks, it effectively cost you 14mil.

You cannot ignore the cost of skilling up when that single aspect is critically relevant to the utility of the cape. That point, coupled with the limited availability of particular skill up ingredients for the 100-110 grind are why the cape is valuable.

After figuring up the lack of materials plus the cost of them now, going from 100-110 60-70 on all my crafts would be way too easy to spend 50m+ or more to level. It's a shame I havent done fishing long before this cape, but the cape, along with just the benefit of fishing was a good enough reason to but a lu shangs and get to it.

Assuming the cape is effective enough to make it proportionate to the value u put into it.

| | Good morning fishers,
The Shaper’s Shawl was set to be a difficult to obtain reward on par with the rewards that could be obtained by defeating a powerful notorious monster and we do not have any plans of easing the difficulty. For that reason, there are no plans to obtain this item through any content other than "Inside the Belly". | |
